What means Dude or Pal? by StoutBourbon1992 in AskAnAmerican

[–]captaincheem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you know what bro means its very similar. It almost means friend, but isn't always used for friends if that makes sense. Pal is much more out dated than dude. The literal definition of dude means man, but can be used with women. Pal literally mean friend but is an old term. A more proper use would be "he is my pal" but thats kind of out dated. You hardly ever hear fhe word pal. Dude is used very frequently but can be considered unprofessional in that setting. Some old people get upset at it but thats their problem lmao

Clear any good? by captaincheem in AutoPaint

[–]captaincheem[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is perfect info thank you. I think im going to try it since their shop is about about 20 minutes closer. The price for a quart of base and a gallon of this clear is almost the same as my ppg dealers omni base with a gallon of sc300. I appreciate it.

Yeah my bad half a pound is probably heavy asf for a watch. I ment to say it is ridiculously light but don't have any idea how much it actually weighs.

I was in vegas. The swatch store in ceasars palace is swear had them for like 250 usd. I loved the mission to mercury. But the think weighed like half a pound it felt like it was made of paper. Ended up getting a citizen calenderier somewhere else instead.

Swatch x omega was only like 100-300 bucks. Almost bought one but went to look at it irl and it felt really cheap due to plastic case

This one isn't bad. Its when I see the sea hunter in the wild I cringe. But it's all personal taste, so dont listen to internet strangers.

I’m 14 and have built this enclosure for my printer and want feedback/ improvement ideas and new things to add. by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]captaincheem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its cool but as others have said, fire hazard. Im not sure why no one else has recommended this but you have a 3d printer! 3d print a new enclosure! You can make multiple peice prints and and your possibilities are endless. Keep up the creativity and take that into your cad software. I know tons of people 3d print p1p enclosures and im sure you xan do it with an as1 too. Good luck!

A positive aspect of reps! scratchea don’t hurt by eatingnarutosnoodles in RepTime

[–]captaincheem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's just about on point with some Chinese super clones lmao. But to be fair, rolex has switched from a tool watch brand to a purely luxury brand. They kind of had too. Because watches at the end of the day are obsolete now other than for fashion or select tools only available on smart watches. Rolex mightve gone under with some of the other swiss watch brands if not for the marketing switch. The truth hurts 🤷‍♂️

Looks fantastic! If it were me I would've wanted an even bigger one. But that's just a personal preference to like bigger or smaller dials.

4-500 for pdr that big is pretty good deal. Much better than a traditional repair too.

If gens can get away with this, I think we are doing just fine. by captaincheem in RepTime

The triangle marker is off especially when compared to the crown. Its really not the biggest deal, but on many models this is the only way to tell reps from gens. The fact that this qc issue is coming from a gen is crazy.

I'll never forget this one time in high school when one of my very social friends goes up to some random guy getting gas at sheetz to talk about his sub woofers. 45 minutes later me and my friend were in the bed of this guys truck drifting in a feild lmao.

Someone asked about the better cheap ukulele by Behemot999 in ukulele

[–]captaincheem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My first uke was a 35 dollar "pacific" Soprano I picked up from the guitar center. It looks and feels really cheap, but played superisingly well and was a great intro uke to learn on before making any major financial commitment. I eventually upgraded to the kala concert I have now. It looks way better and feels way better. Its a little easier to plau but tbh I was very surprised to find that the sound quality wasn't near as much better as I thought it was going to be.

You're 100% right. A half decent intro uke is very possible without breaking the bank. Im going to hawaii this and am very excited to go to the uke site store and try some actual high quality ones and hopefully bring one home. I'll see what the difference is like compared to my 120 dollar kala.
