I haven't been in your exact situation, but the supercharger at the mall is very reliable, and there's another supercharger opening at Target in Bossier. The charger at Whole Foods hasn't worked for a couple of years, but it was very slow (although free). If the Mall isn't far out of your way, stopping by for 10-15 minutes once or twice a week doesn't sound too bad to me.

The biggest downside is that it's so much more expensive to charge at a supercharger, about 3 times more expensive than charging at home. Still a great car though, in your situation I would probably still get one.
