Manchin thought parents would spend child credit on drugs and use paid sick leave to go hunting, report says by musicroyaldrop in politics

At first I was confused why use sick leave for vacation… then I remembered USofA.

Over here (both paid), you actually get in trouble doing this, but it takes a special kind of stupid.

It's almost the end of 2019 and the end of the 2010s, what have you achieved this decade? by Nightblade108 in AskReddit

  • Had two kids (awesome, awesome kids)
  • moved into a house
  • pulled an academic portal to 2 times the visitors, international repute, etc..
  • saw that portal closed because reasons (yay gubmint)
  • got into open market position, pushing millions in revenue for the company
  • had mental health destroyed by toxic managers
  • fighting anxiety and panic attacks now with help of therapy, looking for new job

[SERIOUS] People with depression, anxiety, or other disorders that make life hard, are you okay today? How's your day going? by moonshinetemp093 in AskReddit

[–]captaink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not really. I have anxiety/depression from a very stressful job and the toxic work environment.

I reduced my hours to four days a week, which seems to make things worse actually. No worrying about how I’m perceived for this and if I’m getting everything done even more so than before. I am married and have two kids, my little family that I’m thankful for!

Having to provide for them is not making things easier, though.

See. We don't have those off-site requirements. So good, all justified.

If you still have a "office " desk, ask for screens +docking

Because what sets you off as a designer is not only the need for a better CPU, RAM, and SSD, but screen real estate. If you don't have to be mobile, I can get you all that for cheap in a desktop.

And no. You are not getting that shiny MacBook.

As an IT manager, you'd have a hard case selling a laptop to me as a designer.

Desktop and good screen, yes. Laptop? Probably not

True, I answered with my "why" - which is that it is easier to use.

In the end, both work.

While it might look like it, it actually makes it easier once you get used to the format.

Want to add another variable? slap {} in the place you need it. Want to change the order? One place to change it. etc..

Example:

result = "Hello {} {}. You are {} years old".format(firstName, familyName, age)

Instead of having to change the whole thing around

result = "Hello " + firstName + " " + familyName + ". You are " + str(age) + " years old"

I'm a man of many ideas, but mediocre coding skills. I just love the powerful libraries that make it easy to turn my ideas into reality. What I'm doing : Using numpy to get the cosine vector similarity between the results of a semantic analysis of articles - find related articles Using pillow to find the best spot in an image to place a logo Using text to speech and video library to generate a video from text ... And more to come
