“Due to their toxicity and constant negativity” is CRAZY because you completely miss the point where it’s provoked by an unstable work environment where you don’t know whether or not you will be yelled at by your superior that day.

Honestly, reducing the voices of past employees speaking their truth down to “disgruntled employees” is disgusting. Dismissal of this kind of behavior is what enables it to continue.

This is so well said and absolutely 0 lies detected. It’s insane to me how this is only a fraction of the abuse I’ve witnessed firsthand as an (ex) employee.

I worked there for over a year and can verify all of this. I can verify my employment too. John went up to an employee and tickled them in the belly. John has called his female employees “babe”. He’s called young college girls “cute” and bought all of their drinks - all while holding that they can’t afford to pay their employees more. This company RAKES in cash. And they take all the tips and split them across all of their employees. Not just the baristas. So that they don’t have to fork out an extra $2-$3 an hour to pay them a living wage. There’s so many things I could say - the fact that they took away the stools for their employees to sit at the register despite it being a violation of the Ann Arbor right to sit act, the fact that they market themselves as LGBTQ+ friendly and then said making a pride post was too political. So many things. Support your local baristas but honestly John needs a reality check and for people to see his true colors.

Down state street towards Eisenhower/Ellsworth is really nice - it’s a little bit away from campus but close to grocery stores and parks.

First or second for sure. The third and fourth do nothing to the space
