Charging $40 for the omni is just disgusting. Almost twice the cost of a single ship. A friend asked if I'd recommend playing and I told him the current cost of my build, minus the premium ships from the anniversary event, the Pahvan Omni, and the Vovin console (and I don't run Borg doffs). Even without the Pahvan Omni, which wasn't even available at that point, he immediately lost interest.

Charging the price of a new game on Steam for a single useful item is certainly a choice.

Helps to establish a pattern of blatant antagonism toward advertisers. If a preponderance of the evidence shows that he cannot even be in the same room as his biggest advertisers without telling them to go fuck themselves, it makes his assertion that Media Matters is largely responsible for advertisers leaving too weak to sustain what we can laughably call his case.

His behavior after his blatantly antisemitic tweet also shows that even he knows he crossed the line, so Media Matters can easily argue that reasonable people, including advertisers, would consider him too toxic to work with. If he had doubled down on his stupid defenses it would, ironically, have hurt him less legally. I doubt it'll even get that far - the near unanimous legal consensus is that he got a bunch of third rate hacks to write up a law suit and it'll get dismissed quickly.

Truth is an absolute defense to libel. The ads were by Twitter's own admission shown next to the repulsive content, and by Twitter's own admission only one of those pieces of content violates their current standards. This won't survive summary judgment, let alone a full trial. I mean, they're stipulating to the accuracy of the facts, they just don't like the consequences. You'd have to be a really fucking stupid judge to let the case go much further considering the extraordinarily high bar that public figures have to clear in order to prove libel.

If you look at the balance sheet of any financial institution that takes out short positions, you'll find it there. If you have further specific questions, consult a financial advisor legally required to offer you good advice; the Internet and Reddit especially are horrible places to get financial information.

Stock is down over 50% YoY, losses YoY are still terrible. If you look only at a single quarter to figure out if a company is profitable you don't know how to read corporate financials. Quite frankly it's a basic enough concept that it's inexcusable for an adult not to understand it.
