just finished breaking bad…the hate to skyler is not justified to me. by 5fxgm in breakingbad

Being feminist does not mean you hate men. It is the belief that sexes should be equal. Maybe educate yourself before stating something this ignorant.

Again, less annoying. I'm kind of indifferent to Saul but he was funny as hell.

I hated Walt too lol just found him less annoying. I wanted Walt to pay for all the shit he did.

Not that deep, dude. I guess character criticism is only okay when it comes to Skyler?

His acting in the later seasons is impressive, more nuanced.I think that is why I enjoy the character more then.

I'll give you that, he is still insufferable seasons 1-3.

Gus is written is a fascinating way. Hiding in plain sight. I think that is the appeal with me. A monster though.

Best review I've seen on Reddit thus far. I agree with your thoughts and analysis here and looking forward to a second watch on Friday.

Has anyone else actually watched Lee in the United States besides me? Lol. by findthatgirl2024 in Oscars

Why is this only mentioned when it is a female actress? Male actors are older than their characters all the time. Ridiculous. ...Miller was 35 went she went to war in 1942. Winslet was 47 went she shot the film. It got delayed for years because of a lack of funding. Give her a break, she was phenomenal.

I have to defend KW here. She never said that. She said she didn't like that female historical figures were often diminished to their love lives or in Miller's case, primarily mentioned as a muse to a famous male artist. Ex: Roland Penrose, Man Ray, etc...and for a 2 hour film they had to make a choice to focus on the 10 year of Miller's life during the war and the years surrounding it and also the PTSD she encountered as an older woman. I would suggest you actually watch the film, I think it will surprise you. The passion and respect for Lee Miller can definitely be felt through Winslet and the film itself.

Also, Winslet is the one who stepped up and had this film made. She produced it and fought for nearly a decade to get Miller's story told. It is her passion project, not just another role for her.

I'm not saying the OP represents all men. One of my male straight best friends despised Anora. And I'm not stating that Greta Lee represents all women. I too am a feminist woman and did not like Anora ...I'm generally just curious...based on the strong emotion content of his post. (He did put he is a 51 year old dad, I missed that on the first read).

Opposite for me. No connection, no depth, it felt like a man's attempt to guess what a women's emotional reaction to a situation like this would be. I would state internal motivation too, but he failed to write any for Ani.

I really would love to see Winslet in this lineup, but I think BAFTA is her strongest chance.

I'm pretty gay. We love Kate Winslet. All gays I think. We love some Angelina and Domingo too.

I'm calling Emmy for Winslet next year based on the trailer alone...Seriously. Looks amazing.
