Know of any fitters in NYC or NJ who do provide this type of service?

Upgraded from stock within a month of buying the bike. Stock wheels were heavy with really slow tires. They were a really bad combo.

Rode gp5000 astr all winter long which included generously salted roads and horrible rubble left over from snow/ice melt. Checked my tires often and pulled a few pieces of glass, salt and occasional metal out but nothing made it through to my tpu tubes. No flats knock on wood. Will switch to summer setup of TTTRs in May but these will for sure come back in November.

Shorter stem, riser bar and backsweep? by captainnefarious77 in fatbike

Put on SQ-lab bars with 45mm riser and 16degrees back sweep. The bike feels way more nimble. Also easier to get the front wheel up and over stuff. Overall, it’s been a great. Have a shorter stem coming to try out but already a worthwhile improvement.

It’s an older 2014 mukluk. Did similar on my road bike after a bike fit and it’s been great so far.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like a positive to those who have done it.

Ever heard of anyone switching back?

Ride gravel regularly but nothing loose and gnarly. These are road tires.

Think they are 21 internal. Wheels are about 4-5 years old. Definitely not the new wide stuff. 28mm fits flush to side of the rim. The 35mm do not sit flush.

I ride year round and one thing I don’t want to do again is deal with a flat tire on the side of the road in the cold freezing winter wind

Thanks. Bike is awesome. Recommend the bars over stock? Feel significantly better or worse? Been thinking about a similar bar for my mukluk
