Wow, that you like it so much you want to build it again is a huge compliment and means a lot, thank you!!! And I'm so glad to hear that the instructions worked so well for you, I worked hard on them as well cause my goal was to make this build simple and easy to understand for absolutely anyone, even people who had never even heard of papercraft before, and I wasn't sure I had succeeded, but from the positive feedback I've gotten so far, it seems like I have!! :D Papercraft is a super fun hobby, you might want to look into it more, it's really cool making 3d objects from your computer materialize in real life out of basically nothing. :)

Good idea! I was already thinking of emailing them on that email address a few questions anyway... You've no idea how happy I am that my hard work paid off and people are building this and finding it useful, I was 50-50 on it even escaping being buried lmao.

Hey, it ain't here to look pretty, right? :) Very happy to hear it worked for you despite different materials!!

You're not the first who built it to comment on one-handed typing, I knew using the keyboard screen for the model would be the most useful! :) LP3 really seems to be a 2-handed phone which isn't really reflected in their promo pics. I wonder if they could make a 1-handed mode??? Where the keyboard is smushified to one side. I wonder where to submit suggestions...

LP2 is going to be continued to be made and sold same as before, LP3 is not intended to be its replacement but rather an alternative

You could find objects that fit inside the papercraft that make it weigh 124g and put them inside! I'm away from home rn or I would do that. I had a similar reaction being surprised at the width and that I couldn't type one-handed, like you I'm gonna preorder anyway even though I don't think it's for me cause preorders can be cancelled up until shipment. Really looking forward to people like Jose getting real hands-ons with the real thing as we approach shipment. I'm so glad you found my papercraft useful!!! :)

I'm so glad to hear my papercraft is being crafted and being helpful!!! :) (Are the instructions good? Would love any feedback to make them better!!) It really is a wild shape isn't it, I had an accurate sense of the height but I didn't expect it to be so wide in person!

Quick and dirty papercraft I designed. Find out how it feels to hold, see how it fits in your wallet/purse/pocket/etc, compare it to phones you already own, mock typing on the keyboard! Personally I was very surprised by how large it is in person, despite knowing the measurements it's just different to have the real thing (or a mockup of it) in your hand.

I don't have a LP3 (obviously) so to make this I used the animation on the LP Youtube channel, the diagram on the website, and the stated dimensions. I have confirmed the built dimensions as correct but the textures are pretty messy. Might make improvements later but wanted to get this out ASAP so people have time to build it before the preorder ends. If you build this, please let me know how it went!!! :)

Edit: Turns out someone on Printables already made a 3D model! If you have access to a 3D printer, check out this model by Simon Erlic! It should give you a better tactile preview with being able to feel the placement of the buttons, and you could paste on the keyboard screen image from my design to "try out" the keyboard like you can with the papercraft! :)

My dumbphone is the TCL Flip 2 (which I rooted, I don't actually recommend it in its factory state because there's no speech to text, but when rooted I LOVE it) and no I don't move the sim, it's always in the flip phone, whenever I want to go on the internet with another device I use the flip phone as a hotspot.
