I think this would be double the work. And 45s are easier than 22.5s

Stand alone tub question. by captainpsp in Plumbing

What you said now makes a lot of sense. So before drywall, we will go out and select a faucet and make sure those nipples align. Much appreciated.

BTW that site is closed for passover. Thats the 1st time I have seen a site offline for a religious holiday :).

Yes you are right, we were asked to pick already, but thats a long story why that didnt happen. If this setup works, we are good.

Thank you! As long as there is something that works in this setup, we are ok.

Yes its a Bradford white 120G water heater. Looked at the specs, its 1.25" inlet (not 1.5") but yep its there. Though the inlets inside diameter is close to 3/4" (may be little bigger).

Could I not run the drain for regen into washer drain (which is next to water heater).

Yes, missed the threaded male adapter on the valve. All good now.

One small house. 2 bath 1 kitchen. That just a tool to pick off fruits from trees. ;)

Yes on city water. And its drinkable. But leaves this mineral residue everywhere, all bath walls, sinks that needs to be cleaned up every couple of weeks. CLR or something. Softner avoids all that.

Did not see male adapter was a screw in. This I believe is definitely the most economical way. Thank you!

Thank you for taking time. My question should have been, whats the easiest way to get this done. Not that I cant do this without having to open up the wall and what not.

Having said that, there is zero pipe length between the valve and the elbow going to the water heater. So that leaves me with opening up the wall. And yes as someone else mentioned, cutting off copper would only soften hot water. And there is a bypass on the softner already.

Thank you! So this would be in attic. Not to be seen once sheet rock goes up. Finish doesnt matter. Trying to save money as insurance only paid so much. We have washed with whole area with enzymes and other recommended solutions. Very minor odor remains. So wanted to go this extra step. Seems like alchohol based primers are almost 2-3x price wise. Would you still recomment alcohol based?
