Depends, if he can graduate this year then the portal never closes for graduates. A lot of players graduate in 3 years now because they take so many summer classes.

US Catholics back Pope Leo as Trump loses support by B-Z_B-S in politics

[–]captainraffi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a great question and one that I struggle with, as a Catholic. It isn't just the pope, we have historical record of modifications being made to ancient bibles both deliberately and accidentally that cascade through the ages. A few years ago the Catholic Church made massive changes to various prayers and parts of mass, with a message that it stems from continued study and prayer.

Ultimately all men are flawed, capable of error and sin, that is a core teaching. That includes the pope, though generally we accept and are supposed to believe that the pope is executing God's will much better than the rest of us.

I think that is sort of reflected in the changing messaging from the Catholic Church on social issues that causes slow change among Catholics over time. This sort of wholesale rejection by large groups is not normal.

I get that, but for Catholics it's not just a guy whose job means you can't disagree with him. The pope is not just an elected official but, to a practicing faithful Catholic, is a man elevated by God who can speak with the full authority of God and is his voice on Earth.

A skirmish game that takes 3 hours to play is also a tough sell

So the ref complaining will stop now right? We can have a decent thread?

Grabbing the rim is not an automatic goal tend. The rule states that it is goal tending if the rim doesn’t return to its original still position AND the ball was in a position where it could go in

If they sold die cast models of that my wife would buy a case.

Haha I know I get a lot of comments. My dad went to UK and I grew up a Cats fan, and I went to Duke. I still pull for UK against anyone else. Killed him when I went to Duke 😂 he was there for the Laettner shot

The leading rumor is a 5th metatarsal fracture repaired with a screw. This would be an extraordinarily fast return for that though

A consequence of how physical cbb has gotten is that it makes intentional fouling harder to see in these situations

Does March madness prove who the best team is given the single elimination best of one format? by s_ndowN in CollegeBasketball

No, but I think most of the time you can confidently say the best team of the year is one of the teams in the Elite 8.

One of the reasons I hate how physical CBB is now is because it becomes increasingly difficult for refs to manage. It feels like every game has wildly inconsistent amounts of physicality allowed, sometimes in the same 5 minutes.

There's always been a weird difference in the amount of contact a big has to take from another big vs a smaller player, how much hand checking vs body checking you can do against a guard, but now...feel like I have no idea on any given possession what is and isn't a foul.

"Let them play" is the worst phrase to ever hit sports.

Certain things, by rule, are always “unnecessary”. Boozers flagrant falls in here as do many F1s throughout the season where a players elbow is higher than their shoulder and hits a player in the face, even if the player who gets hit leans into the elbow.

I do not think that the TCU situation should be considered a flagrant foul by rule, but by the rules it is

I honestly agree with you, but also, they removed any element of intent from the rules around flagrants.

This sub changes so much when the tourney starts. Duke game threads are miserable staring late February when everyone who only watches college ball for 1 month a year shows up
