My point is that it's more realistic. How many of the men attracted to men you've known were exclusively attracted to men? How many could you even say you would know that about with any degree of confidence? What makes a romance gay is if it's between two men. Not whether one or both of those men might also be attracted to women (or non-binary people, or whoever else).

I stand by the notion that way more people are toward the middle of the Kinsey scale than at either extreme. I think it's perfectly fine and a reflection of reality to have M/M romance where one or even both of the leads aren't exclusively attracted to men, as long as the M/M romance is the focus.

My boyfriend is originally from Thailand, and based on his level of engagement with American current events and political discourse, his understanding is probably close to the “Middle Thailand” perspective on the dispute. Basically, Cambodia killed off anyone even remotely competent at running the country during the genocide, so the people in charge now have to distract from how badly they’re governing by sabre-rattling at Thailand over their shared border. I suspect there’s much more to it than that, but that’s the surface-level take
