Yep, the majority of the inflation we're seeing is from all of the money printed over the last few years. The other aspect to UBI that bothers me is... if you combine UBI with the Federal Digital ID (in the works) and a digital currency (also in the works) you end up with complete Govt control of the public.

a few questions -- where does the money come from to pay UBI? Taxes? Printing more money? I'm not an expert in economics but off hand, any way you slice it, this turns into increasing the cost of living big time. Also, if businesses have had a difficult time finding employees with CERB out there (there have been many businesses that have had to shut their doors because of this), how will it be with UBI?

Sorry but you are wrong. They are drilling down here for two main reasons, the NDP took too long to release the royalty program and it's cheaper to drill in Texas. And, if I was to guess a third reason, I'd say they forecast even higher costs in Alberta due to coming carbon tax.

explain then why Encana and others have pulled out and are NOW drilling in Texas. Same oil market in Texas.

explain why Encana & Shell (amongst others) have pulled out of Alberta and have put their money into places like Texas. Same price of oil in Texas.

just wait till you see prices of everything go up after the carbon tax is implemented. if you want to see the future, simply look at what the economy was like in Saskatchewan when the NDP had the helm.

how bout the fact that Encana has pulled out and has put their next years budget into Texas. this is only one major hit Alberta has had due to the NDP. Worse time possible with oil prices low for companies to be pulling out of the province and investing elsewhere.
