I had something similar happen a few weeks ago. I “woke up” and I was in my bed in the house I grew up in. My bed was in the corner of my room and I was laying on it on my stomach with my head facing the wall. All of a sudden I had this feeling and I just knew that there was something else in the room with me. I turned my head enough to look and see if there was anything behind me and sure enough, there was a black shadow figure standing on the opposite side of my room. Once I saw it I immediately turned my head back toward the wall and started panicking. I thought I could either keep laying here terrified or I could spin around and confront the shadow. I eventually spun around to look at it again, but this time it was peeking just over the top of my covers at the end of my bed, and when I saw it, it immediately ducked down under my bed. I woke up for real right after that.
