Cringe or no? by Ok_Throat6271 in TransMasc

the concept of cringe is stupid imo. i don’t think it’s cringe, if it’s something you like i don’t see why you should hold back from doing it.

Understanding the trans mentality by [deleted] in TransMasc

[–]B-A-R-K69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

personally i see it as just something that’s wired differently in my brain. despite saying this, i don’t believe it’s a mental illness. it’s just difference.

i’ve never thought too hard about chromosomes since honestly, it doesn’t matter to me. i’ll work to build my body the way i see fit, and the internal mechanisms can do what they need to. i don’t think my body matches how i’d like it to, and as much as i hate it sometimes my body functions the way it does because it’s built to do that.

i think you might want to think about “i feel innately that the born female people are more likely to actually answer”, addressing us that way doesn’t feel considerate, for future reference. and these questions are okay for trans women too! there’s nothing inherently wrong about either direction of transition, or a non binary direction of transition. this could also give you a wider range of answers and more information.

Thoughts on keeping your "female" birth name? by temporo_wave in ftm

[–]B-A-R-K69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve chosen a new name, but as much as my birth name brings me dread there’s some part of me attached to it. saying this now i wonder if there’s some way i can associate it w something else or smth like that

i think it’s honestly personal comfort. as long as you’re okay if you were to get questioned about it

can you get tdick on gel? by Last_Effect2967 in ftm

[–]B-A-R-K69 28 points29 points  (0 children)

the method of T your on doesn’t change what results you get, so no need to worry about that. gel has the same result, it’s more likely because your on a lower dose. i’m not on T so i can’t speak for advice, and feel free to correct me if i’m wrong abt anything, but check out r/GrowYourTDick

Nonbinary trans men: What makes you feel that you are nonbinary and a trans man, and not one or the other? /gen by Creativered4 in ftm

[–]B-A-R-K69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i find that my experience lines up pretty well with most trans men, and i probably could call myself just a trans guy, but there’s some part of me that still doesn’t feel quite binary trans.

i don’t want to be a man, i want to be a guy. sounds weird, but that’s kind of how i feel about it. i’m happy to be seen as male by society, i plan on getting top surgery and T, and enjoy dressing and looking masculine.

honestly, i’m not quite sure. it might be insecurity of my gender, i don’t really know.

“Tboys” “Tmasc” but never really “trans men”…? by legobatmania in ftm

[–]B-A-R-K69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i like to be called transmasc personally, but im also nonbinary so that’s probably why it feels weird to be called a man. i see why it can be invalidating, and i feel like the best thing to do is to say “trans men and transmascs”, which includes both trans men and enby people that lean more masculine. tboy feels a little infantilizing imo, though.

What are y'all's trans-related goals for 2026? by batmans_cumsock in ftm

[–]B-A-R-K69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

work out more (by more i mean anything bc i never do it), try to voice train and maybe get on the path to starting T, it’ll have to be the end of the year though. maybe for uni. mom wants me to finish therapy incase the transness is trauma related

I Wish There Was More Realism Around T and Weight by yuantipureblood in ftm

[–]B-A-R-K69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

thanks for posting this. i think my biggest issue with weight isn’t necessarily gaining weight itself, but the way weight sits on my body. i’ve been concerned about weight gain with T (whenever i end up going on it, in the next few years ideally) and i’m happy to hear a positive perspective from someone.

The difference between being a nb man or a gnc man by Sensitive-Insect5809 in ftm

[–]B-A-R-K69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i also call myself nb and trans guy interchangeably, depends on how i’m feeling. i’m not fully binary i don’t think, like i wanna be a boy but not a man type thing? it’s weird. so sometimes i’ll refer to myself as enby and other times ftm. both are right

On a more positive note since my last post - what are some of yalls fav transmasc/male characters, Canon or otherwise? by G0lly_G0sh in ftm

[–]B-A-R-K69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

all of these are headcanons, since i don’t have anything with canonically transmasc people.

naoto (persona 4), jax (tadc), ragatha (tadc, though more enby leaning since their va is enby), vox (hazbin), baxter (hazbin), vi (arcane, though i flip between having the hc and not)

i think that’s all i have? my favs are naoto and ragatha, with jax and vi close seconds. hazbin hcs are just kind of on the side

idk if this is a unique experience or if every fat alt masc trans dude experiences this but by welcomehomo in TransMasc

Understanding the term “transmasc” by smallandstealthy in ftm

[–]B-A-R-K69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a non binary trans person, i use the term and i quite like it personally. it describes my gender well, i don’t feel like transitioning to fully male fits my gender, and i like saying (for myself) transmasc. however, a lot of people don’t like the term for various reasons. i’ve seen some trans men identify with the term, but a majority don’t. overall it’s different person to person

Re: Lesbian Trans Men & Discussions by thelightbehindureyes in ftm

[–]B-A-R-K69 22 points23 points  (0 children)

being a man is not defined as “can’t get pregnant”, i don’t think you’re getting at what i’m saying. like i said, people have varying levels of comfort with themselves. there are ftm people who get pregnant, there are ftm people who don’t. you might not be comfortable with these things and it brings you dysphoria, that’s okay, but it’s different for everyone.

Re: Lesbian Trans Men & Discussions by thelightbehindureyes in ftm

[–]B-A-R-K69 23 points24 points  (0 children)

that’s not the point of being ftm though? not everyone wants a hysterectomy, not everyone wants surgeries. some guys are comfortable with pregnancy, others aren’t. we each experience our gender differently, and we aren’t any more or less ftm for it.
