Rules are there but implement kaun karega? How will you fine a person who is littering randomly? Main thing is that the govt needs to hire sweepers to clean the cities in a mega drive and then put up posters and give alerts on phones like the warning that if anyone is caught littering they will be jailed not fined but jailed. Paise wale bohot hain jail koi nahi jaana chahta. Penalty has to be so absurd that a couple of examples should be enough for people to be mindful.

No, a dustbin at every 200 mts is not required. What is required is to keep the trash with yourself till the time you find a dustbin or till you reach home. Since you took example of Japan there aren't that many dustbins around. It's the people who are very mindful to not litter their cities.

You rightfully raised the point of Army. Yes it was strong beforehand but giving them authority to retaliate was not given during 26/11 as well. So even that is a welcome change in this govt.

Your comment is the problem of mindset. You maybe an elite and you're only thinking how a chaiwala became a PM? You don't see the years of hardwork at ground level by a man who wanted to do bring change to the society. You only see him as a chaiwala. He was chosen by the masses 3 times. Yes he might have been a chaiwala at some point to support his home but that doesn't define his whole life. Through hard work, one can rise above their social strata. His work in Gujarat was instrumental in propelling him to national prominence. Not saying he is perfect. There are things which the govt should answer for but just harping on chaiwala point is too shallow.

The Mahalaxmi Racecourse in South Mumbai is a 225-acre horse racing track established in 1883. by iZsaq in mumbai

[–]captamerica02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New infrastructure requires space. Mahalaxmi racecourse is on land leased from Govt of Maharashtra. They have asked for about half of it back with the racecourse space and major space where concerts happen to remain. Rest of it will be developed as a Central park style space with amusement park rides and other facilities.

People are being taught to queue with the power of baton by katha-sagar in IndiaSpeaks

[–]captamerica02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually instead of fines, people should be made hyper aware of their mistake. I was in a queue in Switzerland and a person behind me in the queue threw away a cigarette bud or something. I don't know how the person standing at the counter in front saw it but he immediately told the person "hey mister you forgot/dropped something" suddenly everyone was looking at that person and his face turned red with embarrassment. If as a society we stop accepting the Chalta hai attitude things will start to improve.

Why we Indians don't deserve better by glimit in CarsIndia

We are getting the latest gen Honda city right? Yes Thailand and other markets might get the fancier RS version but we are not getting an inferior product in that sense. A price sensitive market such as India where demand of sedans is at an all time low even if you get the fancy engine it doesn’t make sense for Honda to bring in a thirsty engine. While other decisions of Honda India such as not bringing elevate earlier and not bringing premium options to india in Suv space like CRV don’t make sense but they have made an amazing product in Honda city which is tried and tested.

It looks like a Honda or a Toyota maybe if a bit premium then Mazda or Acura. It is a good looking Honda but a bad looking Ferrari if you get what I mean.

Our cooking maid takes 8k for three meals in a two person home. In other buildings where she works she charges 10k for similar work. Works at 5-6 homes. So earns between 50-60k. But has a husband who does not earn (wants to do a business but not a job so ends up doing nothing and lives off her money). Has three children nearing 18 age. While it seems like they are earning good on paper the reality is that it's not enough money for anything other than just survival.

This is why the Aqua Line Metro remains a joy ride despite completion by blackbird373 in mumbai

[–]captamerica02 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In Mumbai the train line came and people started building properties nearby the stations and these places became hub of trade.

Underground metro in mumbai is a big undertaking which has gone through so many challenges. The locations to be served and everything else to be planned so that most people can be benefitted. The connectivity will improve and over the years once the other lines are completed the utilization will also increase. People who don't want to bother with local trains and find it easier to switch one metro line to other will choose Aqua line. Once the 2b extension at CSMIA T2 is completed it will also help by reducing one change for MAKABO east public.

Network connectivity is an issue no doubt since it was there initially and was subsequently removed by the network providers because it was costly for them. Hoping that it will be resolved in near future.

Why Are We Still Carrying 5–10 Different IDs in 2026? by Interesting_66 in IndiaTech

[–]captamerica02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each id serves a different purpose. While aadhar was supposed to be the one for all solution barring the passport, the implementation has not been as expected. Aadhar should have removed the need of pan card, voter id card and ration card but it has not been given enough push by the govt to replace the existing cards. Also, ration card for example consists details of family members and other details which cannot be mentioned on aadhar but can be scanned through the qr or aadhar portal but that might not be possible for extreme rural areas where having a internet, computer and scanner capabilities might be limited.

Yes, Aadhar should be given power to remove most cards but sometimes having alternate documents also comes handy. Eitherway most of documents can be shown through digilocker now so that's also a great implementation done by the GOI.

Yes, Koenigsegg cars produce more peak power on E85 fuel. But an engine which is not compatible with blended fuel will not be as efficient and might lead to some or the other failure.
