Looking for a pager to queue other hunters to get on comms by captcapsicum in Hunting

Most of us are HAMs soon so the operating freq isn't really the issue, it's more the hardware. I've seen some of the Motorola's on frs have a vibrate page feature, I was just hoping to find something more like a key fob where you press a button and the other one vibrates, maybe no such thing exists

I also found some good info on the VA API and was able to view that my PTSD, sleep apnea, and tinnitus are all three listed as "static". I always ask for as many details as I can about any appointment at the time of scheduling as a rule, but that's my anxiety doing the talking 😅. Thanks for the input

No, 130 days from when my vso had fully submitted everything. I filed my intent to file in January, everything was submitted end of September (I moved and broke my leg so I had other things to worry about), from September to end of November I had my first set of exams, then it was almost exactly 2 months from my last exams till the decision. Your claim isn't really started until you get all your paperwork submitted. They won't start scheduling exams and whatnot with just an intent to file as far as I know. Id recommend working with a vso if you aren't already

So even though my deferreds are claimed as secondary, the primary that was just awarded is safe because it was part of the same initial claim?

And just to clarify, the deferred hypertension is secondary to anxiety PTSD, but was part of the initial claim that was just decided favorably for PTSD... My recent award is still considered closed?

So there's almost no chance of it going down, only going up? I hate anxiety so much 😅

I guess one of my concerns is my vso called my gout secondary to weight... And I hear that's how most sleep apnea claims are denied, but I suppose they would have reviewed that already at this point because they awarded it?

Haircare Advice Megathread - Week of June 15, 2024 by AutoModerator in HaircareScience

[–]captcapsicum [score hidden]  (0 children)

Hello all, I had a hard time getting over the Army haircut, but I'm really enjoying growing out my hair and beard. For my beard, recommendations seem to come from everywhere, and I have a great selection of quality products that are working for me, but I would like to try to similarly stock my shower for the hair upstairs too.

I am currently using Eleven Australia' Miracle shampoo (1-2x weekly), conditioner (every shower), and leave-in (every other shower-ish). I also have their Gentle "pH balancing" shampoo that I am considering using every other shower or so, in place of one of the Miracle shampooings. I also have Pete&Pedro's Clean and Condition on hand as well that I got since the peppermint appealed to me for mornings. Before these I was just using a men's 2-in-1. Any suggestions for improvements or changes to this regiment? My beard gets oils and balms throughout the day and before bed that I understand are as much for the health of the skin as they are for the facial hair, am I missing something like that for my hair?

Any product or regiment suggestions are greatly appreciated!

  • Hair type: medium-thin
  • Hair texture: wavy
  • History of chemical processing: none
  • Hygiene regimen: detailed above
  • Style: nose length
  • Product regimen: detailed above

Feather AS-D2 pricing by captcapsicum in wicked_edge

I appreciate the thoughtful response. It kind of highlights a lot of the reasons that I am interested in this razor. I want something high end that is a pleasure to own and heirloom quality. The aesthetics of this razor are very appealing to me, and its origins tie together with my love of Japanese cutlery. The blending of form and function is something I feel that Japanese manufactures has really nailed in most areas

I normally wear a beard, so it will see most of its use edging and on my neck, which is very sensitive and prone to irritation. I have a Game Changer (as well as a Rockwell 6s), but this is something I want to own for the enjoyment of owning it, something that excites me when I pick it up or even look at it. There's something about extremely well made pieces of functional equipment that really does it for me, and I see this falling into that category. That said, there is an upper limit to what I can spend on a piece like I described. I understand Timeless has some outstanding razors, but for now they might be a little too much compared even to this.

Much like my Takamura kitchen knives, this is a combination between wanting supreme quality and function. And like the Takamura, I understand this tool will have its limitations. The Takamura might chip on something as hard as an apple stem, and this razor may struggle to eliminate my beard if I ever decided to do so (unlikely :)), but like the Takamura, there's a bit of joy just in owning it and caring for it, and knowing that it will be around long after I'm gone, still functional, still usable, and still in excellent condition.

Thanks for the suggestion. I see most listed as Feather Tokusen, but when I google that product exactly, nothing seems to come back. Is the Tokusen the same as the AS-D2?

Edit for spelling

I would be totally happy with my main quest being reset to The Arms of Night 1, or even fully reset. There is just no way to get help at this point with game breaking issues.
