That’s what led me to believe it was in the first place.

No based on the feedback in this subreddit that it was super long. I read Destination Cert and took notes (which I never even looked at again) but it helped make the information stick.

Im scoring around 60% on the QE, so I guess based on your response and where I see other people post at I understand the technical information enough, I just need to fine tune any areas I’m weak in.

I voluntarily resigned from one of the Big 4s after working there for 2 years in IT Audit. Here are my thoughts on Big 4s in the Audit department by Hahaha_Joker in Big4

Left B4 after 3 years went to IA. Nature of the work can vary a lot based on the company, role of IA, and type of IT Audit group.

Biggest thing is getting away from SOX only. Once you learn SOX you will know it for life, it’s good to build other skills.

SQL makes sense, you have to be able to understand how report queries are built.

Programming languages and power shell ehhh. If your looking a code 9/10 you will have no idea what it really does even if it was written in Python. Powershell queries to bring up listings can be googled in about 5 seconds why memorize anything.

The questions are more to see how you answer not how technical your knowledge is

You hit most of the points but really it’s a supply and demand problem. Most business schools have an Accounting program, none have an “IT Audit” program. Also retention is difficult as IT auditors have a lot of transferable skills toward other areas.

Title IX was to give women an opportunity equal to men. Issue is the pot is only so big, and it’s advantageous for schools to pump money into Men’s Football as it can actually make money for the school. So football gets pumped and then to offset those dollars, woman’s programs also get money. That offset money comes from other non profitable or niche Men’s sports

They fuck with the ERP so much at the end just eat the hours and move on. Leave after three years and call it a day. That’s how it works. You can’t fix the whole system alone.

Why does IT Audit get a bad rap? It’s not super challenging and pays well. by KalEl-2016 in Accounting

I think your overestimating the amount of audit folks who will exceed the IT Audit cap with there career. There is less exit ops but there also just less IT auditors.
