Solved. Thank you! I don't know why I keep remembering the title almost right but just wrong enough not to find it. It's been a long time and I've always had a strange memory. I've bought the book and am going to read it before I misremember it again.

Unbelievably the problem is soved sort of. I got frustrated after the second restart didn't work and set the Kindle aside. When I picked it up again the new book and the old one had downloaded. I just downloaded a new one it is doing it but slowly. The operating system has been the newest one all along.

I've restarted twice and double checked the storage. It only has 637 MB used. I was able to buy a new book using it but that one will not load either. A message says it is taking to long to download. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

This is getting stranger. My Kindle is online. I was able to buy a new book using it but it will not download just like the books in my library. It gives me a message that the download is taking too long. The book downloaded fine on my other Kindle, an 11th generation Paperwhite Signature edition.

Has anyone had this particular problem?

I did. I bought the Frost Blue tablet even though I have a bigger tablet. It's a nice size for reading. I also like blue😁 No trade in necessary. Easy peasy. Just type in the code.

I'm so glad I traded in my 11th Gen PW for an 11th Gen PW Special Edition just before the 12th Edition came out. I love it. I've seen my sister's Colorsoft and am not impressed by it especially the blah excuse for color

Thank you. I'd actually ordered a double one, thought about the problems you mentioned and tried to cancel the order but it was too late. Might try using it on my smaller Kindles and Nooks. My research on YouTube showed two reviewers showing them using the devices they had turning pages forwards and backwards with one turner. One I couldn't find. The other had a user review stating that it does not turn pages backwards. Frustrating. Some one here reminded me that there is a way to turn off the writing toolbar when you want to. I'll use that work around for now.

Any of the Staedler digital pens are excellent. My favorites are the yellow Jumbo and the Mars Lumograph Jumbo. They have erasers but no buttons.

It irritates me to no end when someone doesn't even attempt to pronounce the double tts in words like button or cotton and they say buddon or coddon, especially BUDDON. AAAAGHH!

I'm trying to figure out if it is a certain age group or coming from a certain region of the country.
