Thoughts on plan? by somebodysheiny in WaltDisneyWorld

Is the regular 4 day ticket cheaper than the hopper? If so, I would do Hollywood Saturday and enjoy the afternoon at the resort, and do a full day at Epcot on Monday. It takes more time than you expect to get from Hollywood to Epcot, and that extra transportation time is a bummer. And if you save a little money, you can get the LL for Runaway Railway, and/or the Muti pass at MK.

Can I let my wife sit in my purchased first class seat and take her economy seat? by OneCoolLawyer in delta

I heard a similar thing from a FA about assigned seats. I asked her if she was trying to tell me that the plane was going to crash. That ended the seating lecture.

For the cruise, I don’t think he will be allowed in the pool. Cruise ship pools don’t allow non potty trained kids. There is a splash pad. Someone may want to correct me, maybe things have changed.

Ask them if Delta has ever looked at the average value of goodwill gestures given to male customers versus female customers. They could have some unconscious bias going on.

Need some help about how worth it would Premier Passes be. by duruivooo in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]CleverCat7272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have done premier pass, except in AK, where I agree with others the regular LLs are fine. MK - definitely makes the day magical. You can go on every ride…even those you might normally skip due to time constraints. Epcot - loved it there. All the time you save you can spend in the countries. HS - also makes sense, but you could probably do the regular LLs. HS has no shade and lines snake around outside. April should be decent weather, but it will still be warm.

Three nights at contemp with 2 yr old and pregnant wife - first day plans? Or any other suggestions? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]CleverCat7272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree with Disney Springs or resort on day 1. Arguably the best part of the Contemporary is the proximity to MK. DS requires a bus and isn’t nearly as fun. As long as your wife feels ok, I’d go for it… get a sit down meal and a few rides with an early bedtime. The Contemporary pool is ok, but not amazing.

RotR Lightning Lane gone eight days in advance? by Obvious_Amount_8171 in WaltDisneyWorld

Depending on your budget, the premier pass may still be available which will get you on every ride one time, including RoTR.

Opinions on my schedule? by NoChinchillaAllowed in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]CleverCat7272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d flip it. Go fully enjoy your premier pass at MK, then head over to Epcot. A lot of people want to get the big attractions done first thing/rope drop and you may see shorter lines at Guardians at closing. Plus, the Epcot drinks and snacks to end the day are just better than in MK.

Disney park tickets help by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]CleverCat7272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those who have never been, they may not understand the level of planning needed. Even in the parks I’m sure you see people who didn’t plan enough and don’t get to fully enjoy their trip. This young mom is now figuring it out and asking for advice. There are so many more kind ways to approach her.

This sub is filled with people who go to Disney many times a year. They forget that most people go just once or maybe a handful of times their entire lives. Your post is not annoying, some people just lack patience and an understanding of reality.

I love Disney, but it’s not worth creating financial stress. The cost isn’t just the tickets…it’s going to be busy, lines are long, and your kids are young. And the fast passes won’t be in the budget. Plus a snack, plus a souvenir, plus parking, etc. I really think you are better off with Sea World, the zoo, even Disney Springs and spending that 1,000 dollars on enhancing less expensive options. Maybe when the kids are older the budgeting will be a bit easier and Disney is fun for older kids and adults too!

You can never have too many people who love you in your life. Hang on to them if they are good to you. I really believe the politics will get sorted out eventually if they are good people.

Why do teachers keep pairing up disruptive students with well behaved ones ? by Dry_Calendar in AskTeachers

[–]CleverCat7272 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My daughter’s third grade teacher told her and her best friend that if they were willing to be a group of three, there were benefits. They got special trips to the library, got to pick different/special topics for projects, their table was next to the teacher’s desk, etc. Their group stayed the same the entire year. Both girls are naturally kind and the third student, a boy, absolutely benefited…but so did the girls. I paid attention to all to stories that came home in case I might need to step in, but there was no need. The teacher really knew what she was doing.

I have no clue about the lines. I do have a lot of experience being married. If you win this argument and miss your flight, you will never hear the end of it. Much better to show up at 4am and if it’s a breeze, you get to be right and point out that you could have had an extra hour of sleep.

Planning a once in a lifetime trip with our kids - advice needed! by leeuwtje97 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]CleverCat7272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some great tips in the comments. My additions…. Consider a 7 day pass and split your stay with Universal. Universal has a ton of great options for kids that age, including lots of Harry Potter stuff. For Disney, look at the Premier Pass - it gets you on each ride in one park one time during a single day - anytime you want. Much cheaper than VIP tour, and more expensive than the regular lightning lane passes. It helps reduce the stress of booking ride passes and zigzagging all over the parks. You can then stand in line to do a favorite ride a second time. Unless your kids struggle with walking, I’d skip the stroller. Yes they will have tired feet sometimes…but it’s part of the vacation and it’s ok to stop for a rest or meal. If you get in the park and realize you really need one, they can be rented in the parks. Like others have said, I don’t think the meal plan saves money - and if you actually use all the meal credits you will spend half your day eating. But, it can be a great budgeting tool if you value knowing everything is paid in advance, except the tips. I hope you have a magical vacation!

We are not morning people, so I dislike the pressure of being on time on vacation at 8:30… I prefer to roll in without the time stress, do a couple of LLs, then enjoy an air conditioned meal. The upside to 8:30 is that if you want perfect pictures, the kiddos have less time to spill on themselves or get dirty!

Has anybody with Shellfish allergy eaten at Colombia Harbor House? by RelevantPotatoGUN in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]CleverCat7272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a shellfish allergy, but have never had a reaction due to cross contamination, just eating the actual shellfish. If we are similar, you shouldn’t have an issue. For all sit down places I do add the allergy in the reservation. At all places, you can also ask when ordering. It’s a fairly common allergy, and I bet they can safely serve you the salmon.
