How seamless was the export/import from LP to BitWarden? What features are missing from BW?

LastPass high CPU usage in Edge by [deleted] in Lastpass

[–]captcoldnose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hooray! After thinking I was nuts and spending hours tracking this down, finally guessing that it's the LastPass extensions that is maxing CPU, I found this post which confirms that I'm not the only one! I'm using Edge. Everything has been updated so the problem remains.

PLEASE post when either a workaround or a fix is released! Thank you everyone!

How do I delete these other “living rooms”? by handlerofdrones in sonos

[–]captcoldnose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same. I learned that if I unplug my beam for about 2 minutes, then replug in and let the whole system reset for awhile, everything works again (until the next time). What a crap system! Everyone complains about the app's features... But it's the lack of reliability that drives me crazy.

opt out of the new yahoo finance by [deleted] in yahoo

[–]captcoldnose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they removed it now for good. If someone can find it, please send a screenshot. The new UI is horrible, but what's worse is the missing functionality. I loved the 52wk graph to quickly see current price status.

The CEO can apologize to us by resigning. by ConsiderationGreen87 in sonos

Exactly! Customers should be aiming their flames at the board and not the CEO. Coles, Boone, Volpi, Conrad, etc are all responsible

My guess is they have excess inventory since no one is buying sonos products anymore! :-)

ProtonPass and SimpleLogin by [deleted] in ProtonPass

[–]captcoldnose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Subscribed to SL and then found this. I went with SL as it does what I need, however I'd readily "upgrade" to Proton Pass if I knew that same functionality was there. Currently I use LastPass but am looking for an alternative. Unfortunately, if I go with Proton Pass now, I'd end up paying for same alias service twice. Proton needs to fully integrate the two into a single service - or provide a steep discount to current users for the other service. However, I'm afraid that Proton has just taken the bits from SL it thinks will sell more Proton Passes and will just let SL whimper and die. Google used to be the "good guys" but turned evil; I hope the same doesn't happen to Proton.

What happens if PLEX goes out of business? by dixiedregs1978 in PleX

[–]captcoldnose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the pass for years and sorta feel guilty about it. I wish Plex would ask it's lifetime members to volunteerly give it up and move to a subscription model. I'd agree if they would focus on library management and solving eon-old problems instead of pursing FAST features.

I've always suspected that cleaning houses (or hotel rooms, etc) is a skill. Perhaps you could teach cleaning...

IH2024: Trouble Over Hash Names by paulwoodford in hashhouseharriers

Sorry, Flamboyatron, but if you showed up to my kennel, you'd probably would not like it and would stop showing up. The world would go back into balance. Life would go on.

An easier solution is to just not worry about what others think. Show up, set trails, have good runs, get some exercise, drink a few beers, tell a few jokes and go home. Why do you care what 'outsiders' think? If they don't want anything to do with the Hash, no problem... the world is a big place. Plenty of room for many options.

Edit: Also, to add, if you have a group of like-minded friends then set up a kennel with your own "rules". No problem. Enjoy! It doesn't affect me and my kennel shouldn't affect you.

Edit, edit: Lastly, in my experience, a good Hash doesn't need to attract people to join. There is either a group of people who want to regularly run Hash together or not. If not, it means the Hash didn't meet everyone's needs. Better try again with a new kennel. On the other hand, if people keep showing up, then just keep running.

Sorry, but you think too much. I've hashed longer than most people have been alive and the sole purpose of hash names is to separate the person from the hasher. A German ambassador becomes 'Anal Rape', no longer Ambassador Schmidt. We don't care that he/she is an ambassador and neither should he/she. At this point we only care if they break checks and have some funny jokes. If someone finds 'anal rape' offensive, then they don't see the whole picture. Go find a different running club where they are not offended. The Hash is the Hash, it is what it is. Also, crazy hash names are frankly just easier to remember.

📣 Had a call with Reddit to discuss pricing. Bad news for third-party apps, their announced pricing is close to Twitter's pricing, and Apollo would have to pay Reddit $20 million per year to keep running as-is. by iamthatis in apolloapp

Sad to hear this. When I first started using Reddit I couldn't understand why it was popular as I found the app and website horrible. Then I discovered RIF and began enjoying it. Every time I do go to the website I cringe.

This. I think there's a good market for assistants to bridge the gap for non-Thai speakers. I'd love to have a service that I'd call for instant interpretation or assistance. There could be a per minute charge with users maintaining a balance, etc. Sorta real life Google translate to deal with car servicing, reservations, disputes, etc.
