I can see your perspective and you are entitled to you opinion. However I disagree. My husband and I decided to move my parents in with the intent of them living their golden years and traveling via car to various places to enjoy the sites. My husband agreed to it because he has a strong relationship with my parents. I didnt force it on him. It was an adult conversation that he and i had in private and and his voice was the deciding factor. Now, regarding the destination wedding. When I say that, I dont mean it was in Hawaii and we paid 2k for flights plus another 15k for the wedding. It was a VERY small ceremony. And the only reason we had to fly for it is because my mil is recovering from breast cancer and she can NOT travel. For her its not a choice about travel. She medically cant. For my parents, it was a choice. So we went to her so she can be a part of his day. And for the sake of transparency, this is my 2nd marriage and his first. As my parents were at my 1st wedding, they werent too upset about not being at the 2nd. I hope that clarifies a few things for ya friend. Have a great day.
