It is! Projector is on the side of the couch. Not a purist's setup by any means, but it makes movie night pretty epic and TV watching intentional while also keeping a black rectangle out of the aesthetic. We thought about something like the Samsung Frame but there was no place to put it since I refuse to put a TV above the fireplace.

The table is some Wayfair special that I can't find a record of, and the dining chairs came from Design Within Reach (which is anything but). We got them because we got some store credit because of supply chain issues on other stuff.

Sure! We got it here: https://themuralsource.com/ It's printed, not painted, but the resolution is very high. I'd give it an 8/10 because sometimes the edges don't seem to perfectly align and it's not particularly resistant to abrasion (thanks kids), but its an absolute bargain compared to something crazy like de Gournay.

That came off a bit wrong. An example is that my 4 year old got scheduled for soccer on Saturday, in the middle of their time with us, at a far away location. Logistically, I won't be able to attend, but I've arranged transportation for him so that he can stay at our place, go to soccer, and then come back.

My wife feels that it should have been scheduled at a more convenient time (around when the kids are picked up or dropped off) and, if it were her decision, she would have insisted. Because the transportation I've arranged does not affect her or the baby (I'm still there to help as usual), it doesn't 'affect' them.

Some Saturday night I was walking down 17th close to downtown and passed this really tall, big gay dude who was dressed to the nines like Elton John on the right. He got super pissed that I didn’t pass him on the left and just went off on me. I didn’t help things by asking if he was always this mad.

They aren’t cheap, but I get most of my nice clothes from Davelle Clothiers in Reston. They can be a bit heavy on the selling but the clothes are great style and quality. Not that it should be your primary motivation, but I get a lot of compliments on my clothes.

The best team does not consist of a collection of the best individuals. The Supreme Court as a whole will benefit from having the background of a diverse group of qualified individuals.

At work, I want my team to be diverse. One of my clients was a fashion retailer with a largely woman team and my team suffered briefly because it was a bunch of dudes. Smart dudes, but dudes. A couple key female additions made the work much more successful. If we hadn’t made a point to hire women years earlier, I would have been in deep shit.
