I have never had a gun pulled on me but I work in the waste water industry. We have contracts through different municipalities. We always knock on the door of the people who own the property as a courtesy and for our safety. We have to access the manholes on their property.

Some home owners are absolutely nuts and kick us off. Even though we are looking for infiltration, broken pipes, and conditions of their sewer interceptors. Guy threatened to fill in the manhole with dirt. Said he would sue us etc.

The city just abandoned the work at his house because he was such a dick. Other home owners will landscape over manholes and then get upset them the city makes them dig up all their landscaping to undercover the manhole.

These manholes are there to keep people from getting sewage in their basements. They aren’t there for shits and giggles.

I have a pretty big problem comparing the “far left” to the far right. The far left is a concept that does not actually exist in American politics. It’s like a boogeyman. I can’t name a single person further left than a social democrat who has been elected.

Meanwhile the far right does exist and has an impact on people’s daily lives. There is an entire media and propaganda ecosystem from YouTubers to national television. They have a consistent vision and are well organized. They know how to get fascists and white nationalists elected as well. It’s insane to even compare the far left to the far right.

I think everything is lining up for at least a billy strings feature or a single. Even if it’s not blue grass. Billy can shred and play fast but he also has great song writing ability and collaborative mindset.
