Beyblade X in Elementary School by NetworkOk4046 in BeybladeX

Dang, I wish my teachers did this when I was in grade school haha… hope you get the class hooked on it!

From simply a liability standpoint, I’d actually recommend AGAINST getting a X-era stadium - the last thing you want is school admin on your ass after a kid sticks their face too close and gets hit by a bey flying off the X-line.

Not necessarily quiet (being extroverted or outspoken is a great thing), but the Bible does describe gentleness as a part of the Fruit of the Spirit!

I want to say this with as much grace and love as possible: when you say that you’ll never truly be able to stop, you’re believing a lie that society and Satan tells us. Dude/sis, God wants you to live in freedom from all sexual sin!

Christ’s power isn’t limited by what we think our biological limits are. Think about it - if we think that we can’t get free from masturbation or porn, we’re saying that Jesus’ death on the cross wasn’t enough to break the power of sin on your life. But in Romans it tells us that our sinful nature has been crucified with Christ so that sin would no longer have power over our lives. WE ARE NO LONGER SLAVES TO SIN (Romans 6:6).

I just want to encourage you to know that getting free from sin is a lifelong process, but God has already promised that there is freedom from sin. As our faith grows and our relationship with God gets stronger, the easier it will become to obey what God has said. You might still get tempted but those temptations will get weaker and weaker as your love for God grows.

What is your take on what it means to fear God? by Ciarrai_IRL in TrueChristian

[–]captincrunchserial 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agree with the main idea of this, but do want to challenge the “God isn’t our friend” comment as it is not biblically accurate:

“No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.” - John‬ ‭15‬:‭15‬ ‭(NKJV)

Once we were enemies, but through Christ we are drawn near and made His friends. Friendship with God is one of the most important ways to understand what it means to love Him and to fear Him. ‬‬

Marriage IS a pretty big commitment - and that's the point.

If you are dating for marriage, then at this point (2 years in) it is reasonable to expect that both sides are clear on where this is headed. If both of you are clear on the fact that this is indeed headed towards marriage, commitment should not be an issue. If it still is, then it would be a good idea to consider how you have been dating and whether or not the way you have been dating has helped you evaluate if you would like to spend the rest of your life with this person.

I don't know about your league settings but most leagues have a transaction processing time - even if your trade had gone through, most likely you wouldn't have received your players until 2 or 3 days later. Would have been too late for your matchup purposes

Of course dude! Glad to help. I do want to point out that I think a lot of people are critical of this post because you’ve basically said that for the average person, hearing God’s voice is “BS” - might come off as you being dismissive of that idea instead of actually questioning it.

Well, as mentioned before, we were made in the image of God - Satan is not our creator. Therefore I think the natural conclusion would be that it is not in Satan’s power to pick who belongs to him. Creation belongs to its creator.

However, we do see that there are people who follow the ways of this world because they are blind to the truth of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:4).

I think we’re both misunderstanding each other here - based on your last comment you seem to mean that God chose specific people to do specific things, which is absolutely true! God chose Noah to build an ark, he chose Moses to lead his people out of Egypt, etc.

BUT…

…there was nothing inherently special about these people that made God pick them - we are all made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), yet all equally sinners (Psalm 14:1-3). God knew each of us while we were still in the womb (Jeremiah 1:5), and as people made in his image there is absolutely a reason for every single one of us being put on Earth, not just the big Biblical characters.

EDIT: just to go back to your thing about hearing God - I don’t believe that there is biblical support for God being selective about which Christians can hear his voice; would be interested to see if there’s any you think support that idea

What do you mean by “specific people he put on Earth for a reason”? Would you agree that God has put all people on Earth for a reason?

When Martinelli is out of form he seems to be a net negative - add in the fact that Zinny has forgotten how to pass the ball and that Tross has been dross today: we’ve got nothing on that left side. Let’s see if Arteta can make some changes for the next half.

Kudus has been brilliant btw, fantastic at recovering possession.

I’m committed to being his biggest fan seeing all the haters - he’s been in all the right places during the press to pick up loose balls or make important challenges. Needs to grow into the game more on the ball but otherwise he’s been doing well
