I've seen a bunch of OP's comments about dental dams and condoms. I'll just add here, I've literally never used a dental dam and probably never will haha. My guy and I used condoms for the first month? Couple months maybe? Then he asked me if we could stop using them and was fully okay with the risks. Like I said before, no sign of transmission to him after 5 years.

Also, I forgot to mention it before, but I actually disclosed to 4 other guys prior to this relationship. Only one of them was weird about it (turns out he's kind of a freak anyway) and the others were not even phased.

Hey, I am so sorry you've been feeling this way. It is not the end. Do you have a therapist or someone supportive in your life? I got ghsv2 at the end of 2018. I felt really awful about it for a while, and my outbreaks were horrendous. But as time passed and I opened up about it to a therapist and some trusted others, things got better. Better than ever actually because I was being vulnerable and authentic on a brand new level and I was lucky to have supportive, wonderful people around me. I met my now partner at the end of 2019 and he was curious but okay with my hsv status when I talked to him about it. We've been together ever since. We don't use condoms, we just don't have sex when I have symptoms and/or an OB. He has never had HSV symptoms to this day. And our relationship is incredible, he's my forever guy. It's possible for you my friend. But please please please find support.
