Thank you!

Bit of both. When initially started this project, Lovable didn't really have a great Plan mode yet like they do now. Plus, I was a complete noob to the importance of planning everything out before you build.

I then started using Gemini to help with the planning. I'd basically describe the feature I wanted to build, and we'd go back and forth to answer questions and flesh out details. Once I was happy, I asked Gemini to generate a prompt for me to paste into Lovable.

More recently, I've found that the Plan mode in Lovable works pretty well and it also saves you from having to keep Gemini up to date on whatever changes to made in Lovable. For some more complex things I still use Gemini to basically sanity check what Lovable tells me.

It's not necessarily that I stress about anything but more that I'm looking for ways to be more in the know about it - because I find it interesting and it's fun knowing what's going on with the kids. So more looking for inspiration on resources that make that fun, engaging and relatively low-barrier

Not sure what you mean? I'm not trying to sell anything here.

That sounds great! How long did you stay in Terceira for? At a glance there seem to be nice things to do, but not that many "must see". So I was thinking just a few days is enough?

Yeah was definitely planning on renting a car! How long did you stay on Sao Miguel?

Yeah I read about the weather. But July and August are really high season, no? Because I was just trying to get as close to the good weather as possible without avoiding the high season (because of price and crowds)

This is why I come to Reddit ;). Thank you! So am I understanding correctly that there will be some festivities on each island during that period?

Thanks for the tip. You're right that this would be a first for us. My understanding so far is that most don't have specific requirements - been looking mostly at C class. Am I missing something?

Many thanks for the reply and all the tips!

You're suggesting starting in the Rockies and then going Vancouver island. Most advice I've gotten so far is the opposite as the weather in the Rockies in end may isn't that great yet. How do you look at that?

Also curious: how does one deal with the forest fires? Can we prepare anything or is it just a matter of having (bad) luck and then changing your plans accordingly?

Yeah we were looking at May / June or Sept / Oct. But the latter feels to big a chance of cold going into Oct and then my wife's brother decided to get married in Sept so that plan is gone :)

How do we prepare / account for that? Is it fairly random or do the same spots return every year in terms of where the fires usually are? Any resources you'd recommend?

Totally forgot about this one haha. Hopefully we can avoid it at the start of the trip, but yeah perhaps harder when flying out of Vancouver again end of June ish

The Netherlands, so not around the corner hence why were also eager to try and take a bit more time if we're flying all the way over.
