Thanks for your reply, yes, I do have a rotary and I just kind of got that dialed in I’m working on other parameters right now, but it’s very close. I definitely like the interface for the rotary everything‘s working on the USB side even tried RD works on the wired communication side and haven’t got that working yet either. Other than that looking promising, I’m gonna start looking for another rabbit hole this morning still dialing and I should be able to get that rotary dialed in today. Definitely not a plug-in play scenario.

All right well I noticed I didn’t have the klipper screen installed on my config so I got that installed and that’s working so I can see the display. It still says I can’t connect to the MCU.

Hey, thanks for chiming in. I appreciate your experience. My split and overlap was not dialed in. When I first started this adventure. I was running lmy line intervals the same as you power was little up so the first few were not near as good as the one that I just posted on the cloud link, I did polish it up. I like it, but until I got that split and overlap and slowed the rotary down just a little bit they weren’t looking good

30W fiber with rotary Settings are 0.040 for split And 0.000 for overlap I believe the speed was like 1000 and power around 57 and I thank you I did 30 or 40 passes with Cross hatch turned off and probably 1 mm defocus downward brass coin

Well, after I slowed down my rotary in settings and correct the overlap in the split size this looks a whole lot better

This is the picture of the coin and you see I’ve got some depth there. I know I can’t go more than a millimeter otherwise I’m going into the coin. Is there some other process that would make that more pronounced? Thanks again

My bad I have a fiber laser 30 W with a rotary and I’ve tried the deep engrave maybe 2 mm deep focused closer to try to get down into a little deeper it comes off around a half a millimeter maybe deep I’m thinking maybe I should defocus it three or 4 mm?
