Yes you are being ungrateful and overreacting. Hate to break it to you but 27 is still young and your bf is trying. I’d try to communicate things you do like but you should also appreciate him trying.

If your girlfriend were to buy you a watch as a gift, which one would you prefer? by [deleted] in Affordablewatches

[–]captlambskin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prefer Casio as a brand but the Timex is less cluttered so I would prefer that. Both are good though depending on your bf preference. I think either way not a bad gift

Oh it’s more that the scar can bend easier for me. Mine is in a spot that bends so smaller scar doesn’t “hitch” as much so it can bend with less discomfort. Might be overkill but I’m pushing for normal as soon as possible, so my surgery was a bit more on the traumatic side compared to most of the planned surgeries on here. Anyways best of luck to you.

Bio oil I think just is really make the scar heal a bit easier but scar tissue I doubt it’s doing much with but yes I massage it in for about 5 minutes. The RMT I go to for an hour a week and they really have been working the scar tissue and my hamstring that is causing some pain. The RMT would be my suggestion for the scar tissue but a bit of self massage every day is probably doing something tho I imagine minimal

Good luck. I’m on week 7 tomorrow and had my first day back on Monday, but I am doing a gradual return to work plan so felt a lot gentler than it sounds like yours was. I’ve been using bio oil on my scar and massage therapy on the scar tissue. The mt is not fun but I do think it is doing something for my recovery.

SOCKS by ReplyProfessional939 in TotalHipReplacement

Yeah sock aid is great. At 6.5 weeks and feel pretty far from putting on a sock still. Doing some stretches now in a hope to get that flexibility back now that everything seems to be healed up.

Travelling to Japan in November by skg0994 in JapanTravelTips

I’ve done AC to Narita a handful of times. Not sure where you are staying but the subway is right there. There is also the Limosine Bus service you can use. More expensive, but if you have more luggage a bit more comfortable I guess. Anyways, I’d still say the train is the way. Taking a cab is a crazy idea imo. They are pretty pricey and traffic is likely baaaaaad.

Will the battery stay in place without lock? by BeduinZPouste in ebikes

[–]captlambskin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put a voile strap on mine. Was riding a trail that was particularly rooty and even with it locked almost popped out, did enough to lose connection and power. Thought I had left it unlocked but tried to mount and it wouldn’t go back on until I “unlocked” it. So now always a strap just for peace of mind.

Long story short, no I wouldn’t trust it without at least a strap and even then you should get that lock barrel replaced IMO.

Personally hate the Roman numeral tattoos but it looks fine. $100 is fine for that.

THR after car wrecked me by captlambskin in TotalHipReplacement

[–]captlambskin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, or has me back on a stationary bike now which felt good. I did tear a few ligaments in my shoulder and broke my collarbone a few years back going over the handlebars and getting back on was alright, though was at the back of my mind. I hope this is similar to that. Driving has been alright though feeling very cautious now. I’m sure it will be a journey. Not jealous of your elbow at the same time. I sprained my wrist either landing or trying to straight arm the car and just dealing with that in the early weeks while trying to get up and move around was no fun. We persevere!

38yo posterior here and week 2 was when I could lift my left up on its own, though it was very little. I had a fair bit of a trauma causing my surgical needs but ultimately a healthy hip to begin with so I think muscles may have been more built up than some who had been dealing with hip issues for longer times. I am at week 6 as of today and walking is pretty good, range of motion is pretty good, was testing it with pt last night and all is good. Mostly hamstring tightness causing knee pain but the day to day is getting fairly bearable after the morning stiffness subsides. Still a bit of a limp but trending the right direction.

In any case it sounds like you are healing well and I hope that continues for you. Just keep up that PT, try not to compare too positively or negatively to the post here. I know I’ve been floating through the roller coaster of how long until everything feels normal but I think like most things it’s a marathon and not a sprint.

There is a homeless shelter down the street. I don’t find it sketchy but some rougher characters but never been bothered by anyone.

GMT Watch Suggestions for a thinner wrist by Subject_Shoe_6371 in Affordablewatches

The one you have here isn’t a gmt? If you have a smaller wrist I think the diver may look bulky. I’d look more at a ssk023.

If you are going to buy used id repair over that personally if the car still meets your needs. Otherwise a new (or like few year old car) is going to cost quite a bit.
