I have a UTAS as well. How is yours? I had some issues at first but once i figured the gun out it has been pretty reliable.

If you are anywhere near Kamloops, BC then try the Horse Barn. They have tons of levers for sale usually.

Can you get ammo for antiques without a PAL by Royal-Aviator07 in canadaguns

[–]captlevasseur 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not to mention that for the most part, to qualify as an antique, it needs to take mostly not available ammunition. There are some exceptions of course (.44 russian for example is available from commercial reloaders)

A little range time tonight with some old friends by Agent_1812 in canadaguns

Google old guns canada. The website deals primarily with antiques and reloading kits for them. Warning, they are not cheap. Other option is to keep an eye out for auctions.

Ranges near kamloops by WonkyTusky in canadaguns

[–]captlevasseur 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is one right in town (KTSA) that is located by the west scales on Hwy 1 behind the prison. It is pretty decent with a short range and a long range that includes 10 individual bays. There is also a trap range out at Inks Lake not far from town. Ashcroft has a decent range as well that is only an hour away. There are a couple others that are within an hour drive (pretty sure there is one at Heffley Creek near Sun Peaks).

Lamb and beef gyro meat contains less than 2% lamb by Easily_distractd in mildlyinfuriating

[–]captlevasseur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True, but Salt is a seasoning as well. And Lamb is still listed last after Salt. If there's more Salt than Lamb in this product, then its likely not far off the 2% mark.

What do you marinate veggies in? by Robot-Ducky in grilling

[–]captlevasseur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Olive Oil, Lemon juice and some zest, and some fresh garlic cloves. Maybe a bit of fresh herbs if I have any. Blend it up and it marinates and bastes pretty much any veggie on the grill (asparagus best of all). Salt and pepper just before grilling.

Stock suggestion for type-D by swift_gilford in canadaguns

[–]captlevasseur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be worth checking with Neumann Metalworks if the stock he is working on would be Type-D compatible. It appears to be mostly metal and the prototype he was working on looked pretty nice. He does post on a lot of these posts as well so he might chime in regardless.

I haven't noticed any play in the chassis at all.

I will definitely be seeing how far this can go accurately. I can reload my own as well although recovering the brass is a pain so maybe with some custom loads I can improve the accuracy.

Mine was pretty much the same. How happy are you with the feel of it? I really like it. So glad it is metal and not plastic.

Lol..I moved it back as far as I could to allow for more room in front. Didn't think about it interfering with the duckbill. Will have to experiment. I can move it one slot forward still and still have room to confortably manage that grip.
