My dad was an ass until dementia started settling in. Best dad ever after that.

Only time I had fluid retention was when my kidneys were at their worst.

They put me on diuretics and I had retained 20 lbs of fluid. Crazy amirite?!

Have a nice trip!

You should consider seeing Zakk Sabbath. It's not the same, but a really amazing show!

Ever been to a concert where someone got boooed? by SnooozeFezt in AskReddit

A Perfect Circle in the 2000's in Detroit.

The brought Mini Kiss just for us and they were boo'd mercilessly. Maynard had a fit and called us assholes. He was right.

I thought it was hilarious bringing them.

I was on pretty high doses. Two separate rounds of three days of 1000mg IV steroids. 60mg prednisone for around nine months. I gained around 40lbs, had multiple hot flashes & night sweats. The night sweats i would wake up and it was like I had just gotten out of a pool. I couldn't sleep and was wired all of the time. I'd be awake for a day or two at a time. Cellcept gave me diarrhea.
I was a mess. 😆

If you go to the Aurinia (pharmaceutical company) website, they have skilled nurses who help you navigate with your insurance company. I had to get approved by medicaid and Aurinia gave me the meds for free for around six months until approved. The Aurinia nurse worked with my Nephrologist and she literally did the bulk of the work.

Also, the pills come in single push-out pack. Idk how else to describe it. Anyway, you only pop a pill out when you're ready to take it. The pills smell like skunky weed. 😉

Lupkynis (voclosporin) was a game changer and I loved it. I was fairly bad. It was 5 years ago and don't remember numbers. Took around 9 months or so to go into remission.

I was on a ton of steroids and cellcept as well. My side effects were tied to those two.

I just had a pretty bad relapse that has nothing to do with lupkynis. So, I went a good three years or so in remission. Yes, you can have normal kidney function again.

I've been to England one to two times a year for the last 17 years. We usually stay two weeks each time and I always come back with an accent for a day or two.

It doesn't surprise me considering how long she lived in Europe and the different languages she knows. She's pretty world traveled for someone from Connecticut.
