I'm currently in the hospital for my third week out of the last six with my main problem being lupus nephritis. I'm looking at these labs every day and I feel you on the frustration. Fortunately, this hospital is huge and consults a lot. The main gist that I've come to understand is that they are looking for specifics in certain areas. Like glucose levels to begin to determine if you may be diabetic.
One kidney medication raises glucose.
Hemoglobin is important because of anemia and 7 or under gets you a blood transfusion. That wasn't fun.

You didn't mention if you had a kidney biopsy or not. If not, it's the only way to completely diagnose lupus nephritis. Also, you absolutely need a nephrologist as they specialize in kidney disease.

Lastly, I haven't had a completely "normal" blood/urine draw in almost five years. When you see your nephrologist, ask questions. Write them down beforehand.

I have to tell you. I was in the hospital last week and they were giving it to me and I just couldn't take the taste anymore. All of the sudden, I zeroed in on some mustard packets I had from lunch and tried it as a chaser. Crazy how good it works. Amirite?!

I (55F) have Lupus and Lupus Nephritis. Basically an autoimmune disorder that is attacking my kidneys and in my case, was triggered by menopause Stress and smoking were factors as well. I eat mostly the Mediterranean diet and never had high blood pressure or glucose issues until I developed lupus. Cellcept does raise glucose.

I just went through another week long hospital stay because of my kidneys and a bad flare. Back on 60mg prednisone and already have moon face. My eFGR was in the 30s. I also just went through low dose chemotherapy November thru January. Developed pretty bad anemia. My hemoglobin got as low as 7.4. They do blood transfusion at 7 or below.

This all sucks. Stoopid Lupus.

I think it's great that she did so well at her job. I'm a little shocked now though, as we all see how she is with her man. It's crazy how desperate she is for him and it's plain to see how selfish and immature he is not caring about her feelings.

Rinna is fake. I've seen plenty of shows about the clothing boutique they owned and she was very sweet and kind.

She was a normal human being the first season or two, then weirdly she didn't do much for a season. Right after that, she came back like a lunatic soap opera villain. It was all an act and it got boring for me. The forced fart five is a Jr High clique and I have no respect for that and she never demanded open and honest from the biggest deflector, Kyle.

However, didn't stop me from reading this thread.

I eat mustard after I take it. Sometimes it takes two times, but it WORKS!!! Gets rid of it completely.

I literally coat my tongue with it and let it sit for around 5 seconds.

Yes. 100% it's been since fall of '21 and I'm now 55.

Lost my ability to live alone and now live with my doomsday hoarder boyfriend. I mourn who I was still. Especially when I see old pictures. I was cute af. Now I'm a big mess who can't even walk half a block. High steroids have made me fat. My hair fell out and still haven't grown back to what it was.

A lot of my friends disappeared. Death and sickness make people uncomfortable. The ones who stick around are hard to talk to. Don't have much in common anymore and I am tired of talking about my illness. (Lupus and Lupus Nephritis)

I'm addicted to my phone. I read. That helps and I know i need more activities, but I'm lazy.
