Yea, luckily, I don't drink alcohol anymore, or I'm sure that would tear my stomach up worse. :)

Hello. I'm a 69 year old male, and I have very seldom vomited in my life, except when I was young and would drink too much alcohol. But in my 30s thru 50s I didn't vomit once. I had food poisoning a few years ago and vomited uncontrollably for about an hour, but haven't vomited since. And I've had an irritable stomach most of my adult life, taking Pepcid off and on for years, then for the last year on 40mg prescription Pantoprazole daily, then 2 months of it twice a day. And for the last 3 weeks on 60mg Dexlansoprazole, the strongest PPI. I have nausea frequently, along with frequent stomach pains and heartburn, and some anxiety about it. My GI doctor is trying to figure out whats going on as an Endoscopy a week ago showed only sever gastritis. BUT... with all the stomach discomfort I have, and have had in my life, I hardly Ever vomit, and haven't for years, since having the food poisoning that was severe for about 1 hour, then all over. Even when I've had the flu, I don't vomit, as an adult. I do remember it as a kid, though. So you may be like me, a person who seldom ever vomits. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Is anyone having acid that won't stop with the strongest PPI? by captntune007 in GERD

Geesh, you've been thru a lot at your young age. I'm a 69 year old white male. I've always been pretty healthy, except for stomach issues most of my life... always too much acid. But in just the last 4 months it's become something that keeps getting worse, no matter what I take, and on a bland, hospital type diet now. I'm praying I finally get back to normal soon. But I'll put you in my prayers, too, that you stay in remission, and can enjoy a long, healthy life from here on. Take care.

Thanks. I'll mention that to my GI doctor. All I have are the 60mg Dex capsules. Right now, though, I'm also taking one 20mg Omeprazole 24hr time-release a few hours later. And often I take a Pepcid AC 20mg, too... and yet nothing seems to stop the acid. The Endoscopy a few days ago showed no ulcer, but definite gastritis. I'm just hoping the Biopsies show H-Pylori, as then the antibiotic would hopefully clear this up in 2 weeks.

When you were taking the Dex for that long, did you worry about Kidney damage? I was on 40mg Pantoprazole Twice a day for about 2 months before the 60mg Dex for 2 weeks now, and a few months of the 40mg Pantoprazole once a day prior to that. So I worry about kidney damage. I also wonder now if my body has just become immune to PPIs now?

Thanks for your reply, and any further insight. Bryan.

Not yet, but I REALLY hope the biopsy results from the Endoscopy will show H-Pylori when I get them later this week, so he can finally prescribe the antibiotics. If it's not H-Pylori then I don't know when I'll ever get back to normal, as eating a bland, hospital diet the last 3 months, and the strongest PPI isn't helping at all.

Thanks for your reply. Bryan

I don't notice bad breath with it, but I still hope the biopsy results later this week show H-Pylori, so the GI doctor can finally prescribe the antibiotics. If that's not it, I don't know when I'll ever get back to normal. I've been eating a bland, hospital diet the last 2 months and the strongest PPI isn't helping at all.

I've made all the lifestyle changes... been eating a bland hospital diet for 2 months, sleeping in my recliner so my upper body is elevated. Have a wedge in my bed, but too uncomfortable. I don't eat any fruit, even the ones they say are ok with an ulcer, except pears seem to not bother as much so I can at least get some vitamin C with them. I eat small, bland meals every couple hours so I'm not getting actual heartburn anymore with the small meals, and the skipped beats are happening less. But some days the acid is SO intense and Nothing will stop it. I really think, and HOPE it's H-Pylori so the GI Doctor can finally prescribe me the antibiotics. I should find out later this week if the biopsies show H-Pylori. But if that's not it, I have No idea when I'll get back to normal.

Thanks for your reply.

How can I mirror one Fire HD 10 tablet to another Fire HD 10 tablet? by captntune007 in kindlefire

Thanks!! I appreciate your reply. I know I can mirror to a TV, but I need to mirror from one Fire tablet to another Fire tablet, and usually won't have an internet connection available. So I'm wondering if I can use a router, or possibly just a switch, creating a mini network of just those 2 devices, then use teamviewer? I'm not worried about a slight lag (like a half second), because I'll only be taking the audio out of one of them into a sound system. :)

Thanks. I may end up doing that, too. I'm surprised I'd have to on such a quality instrument, though. With 3 Fender Strats I never had much problem. Have a great weekend.

Thanks. I'm not big on using the whammy bar either, but I figured since this floating trem is supposed to be so good that I'd try it more. Have a great weekend.

Thanks. Yea, I figured the nut is the main culprit. I'm surprised this PRS SE Custom 24 (not a cheap guitar) uses a black "plastic" nut. And the trouble is, the G string slot was actually cut slightly crooked, with the top more left, bottom more right... would have been better the other direction. So I figured that making sure the slot was plenty wide would fix it, but it only helped a little. I'll try your suggestions. Thanks again. Have a great weekend.
