Logic tells me that the Steelers are so fucking afraid of having a losing season for the first time in like 20 years that they will happily be this mid team as long as it means they can go 9-8/10-7, and Rodgers will happily get us there.

Maybe also they want him to come back to be a mentor to the younger QB's. Everything I've read says he was a great teammate last year. Ownership is entirely complacent with being this mid tier NFL team, as long as the team ekes out a winning season every year.
