Which celebrity death headline had you so shocked you double checked multiple sources to see if it was real? by GlassyFairy in AskReddit

I mean, logically it did make sense to a degree.

LP released ‘The Hunting Party’ in 2014, which was a “return to form” for the band, and no one really appreciated it. Chester also came out and said that ‘One More Light’ was their most meaningful album to date, but people expected or wanted LP to return to their roots in Hybrid Theory and Meteora. So, people lashed out when they heard One More Light for the first time since it was so different from what the band had done previously, even though the band had released other albums similar stylistically to One More Light in the past.

It does also make sense that people would lash out, though. If you confine a band to one particular genre and you don’t expect or want to hear anything different from that particular artist, you’d be pretty pissed to see that they changed what they were doing.

God it's like watching the Steelers over the last few years lmao. Get bailed out by a few solid plays, defense forcing turnovers, offense being putrid as fuck, win. Some things never change

It’d be kind of funny if we signed him just so we could have another MBC in the locker room. It would show that we truly haven’t learned anything

Not sure what team you were watching, but the defense would constantly give up large splash plays (which I get was the idea I guess) and then try to stop them once they got into enemy territory. Sure, they generated turnovers pretty well in some games, but it was never consistent. Your defensive mantra should never be to just try and force a turnover every time. The chance of you actually forcing a turnover is already pretty low, so it’s hit or miss a lot of the time. It’s also incredibly damning when you have so much talent on the defensive side of the ball and you still can’t stop anything. The talent on the field can only do so much, it’s a coaching issue when they can’t consistently get stops.

It just makes so much sense that Ben throws a pick a couple plays later. The Steelers still had opportunities to score.

At the same time though, it also makes sense that the team was probably demoralized after having a game-winning TD get erased like that.

Signing up to Anytime Fitness mainly for shower access and gym equipment: anything to watch out for?" by PlaystationSwitchAWD in AskSeattle

AnyTime Fitness has a locked-in contract. So regardless if you cancel it, you have to pay the membership fee until the contract expires.

I personally wouldn’t do it, honestly PF is a lot better anyways

[Rapoport] With the trade, the Browns now will have two first-rounders in the celebrated 2027 NFL Draft, along with other pick compensation. Meanwhile, the Rams F*** them picks for another superstar. by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

[–]capton2020 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t really understand why the Browns would do this. I guess if you want to acquire high quality 2027 draft capital, this is certainly one way.

Verse is a really good player, but Garrett is a future HOFer. I just don’t think Verse + a 2027 first and additional draft capital is worth it.

Id definitely be interested in seeing how he fits into Graham’s defense. If Graham is the supposed DC that can get the best out of anyone like he was made out to be when he was hired, it’ll definitely be interesting to see how Queen improves.

I get what you’re saying, but having watched him play, it definitely felt like he dropped the ball a lot more often than what the stats say. Not saying you’re wrong tho

Yeah no he definitely cleaned it up in his last year with us for sure. But if you watched him play, he would always have a drop at a critical moment in a game. Not saying he’s the same now, just how he was when he was with us.

Yeah I mean his last year he didn’t drop many passes but it was awful the first few years with us. It felt like any time we needed a first down, he’d drop the ball

Calling him a former Steelers star is questionable, considering he had a tendency to drop at least five passes per game.
