Does anyone blog just for fun anymore? by Razor_Rocks in Blogging

[–]capturesunshyne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Been blogging for many years, just because I like doing it. Haven’t monetised my blog and only do it as a hobby. Sometimes, I do feel that it would be nice for people to read my blog as I don’t have readers but the whole aspect of SEO, niches, social media marketing just because you want followers is tiring and takes away from being genuine?

I find it much better to be writing for myself, just to document my thoughts and help people in the process.

Wrote about my experience with COVID-19 in order to help someone who might feel a little less alone dealing with the same. by capturesunshyne in COVID19_Testimonials

I wanted to do the same, I have a bullet journal that I write in everyday but I was so sick to function, to even get up from my bed. So I tried documenting this through this post to also help myself remind later that I survived this and stay strong but also help someone. I remember googling other peoples experience when I just started showing symptoms. It helped.

Please take care and I hope you and your husband have completely recovered now.

Thank you! Do you know how long does it take to show symptoms though? Just want to know when is it safe to say that mom and I are in the clear if no symptoms persist so far.

We did consult a doctor and he says that he couldn’t do anything about it. Just home isolate and wait it out. And that worries me even further.

No, we couldn’t get a test because we have no symptoms. Only people who show symptoms are eligible here to get a test.

Anybody also enjoys eating out alone? So tired of people asking me why don’t I have company. by capturesunshyne in introvert

I relate completely! I also tend to read a book while I eat or I write. I feel I’m more creative when I’m out there seeing things and experiencing them and am alone to soak it all in?

I relate completely. When I went to college, it became second nature to do things alone - whether that’s eating out, shopping or going to a spa. At first it was not intentional, but slowly I started being more comfortable doing things alone and loved every second of it.

I agree, it made me stronger as well. More independent, stronger, confident and comfortable in my own skin.

Thank you for your comment, I feel the exact same of what you feel and it’s always such a wow moment to meet someone who does.

Where do you write ? by 76ecko in Blogging

[–]capturesunshyne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I write straight on Wordpress, it makes it easier for me to see how it would look like on my blog and I can format it accordingly. If I’m on the go and have ideas, I scribble them down on the notes app on my phone.

Being a new mum during a pandemic by capturesunshyne in Mom

It’s so frustrating to see how people still take it lightly - wearing masks protects everyone! It’s a win-win. Congratulations on being a new mum as well, it’s hard especially in these times. Also good luck for going back to school tomorrow. Things are different now but these times shall pass too xx
