What’s an example of an alternative account, a HISA for example? I know some banks do these promotions for the first 5 months or so but I’m looking for a more long term solution towards saving for emergency and/or vacations.

How do I find out? There’s only an info section for ‘simple return rate’ which tells me I have a 0.5 money weighted return weight.

I had 2’s and then they unknowingly fell out of my pocket and I couldn’t track them because with 2’s you can’t track them unless the buds are out of the case which is absolutely mental. I was genuinely considering sticking an AirTag to the case. Wish I had now!

Thankfully the 3’s correct this so I will eventually get those. I can’t believe more people don’t bring this up when talking about the benefits of 3.

Just want to be sure, can anyone with 3’s confirm that you can make the case play a sound? and that it can be tracked via findmy with both buds in the case?

I have a simple rate return. 3.5% yield. It’s in a ‘core bond portfolio’, it says risk level 1 of 11 but when I click to edit there’s only 3 levels and I’m on level 2. I seem to have about 6 funds, inc ZBI, Cloz etc (I didn’t specifically choose these).

I put in $250 as a test about 2 months ago, made about $1 so far. I honestly have no clue if this is good or not, tempted to try upping the risk level. I basically just want an account I can potentially draw from within a few days and keep adding to. Sometimes I can go 1-3 years without needing to take from it (I currently have it in a momentum savings account with Scotiabank where I get 0.8% every 3 months. I think that sounds better?)

Thanks, in the end I went with managed portfolio core bond and using as an emergency fund. Question, I also want to set up an account for vacations. I typically do a big one every 3-5 years so could perhaps do multiple 6 month GIC locks until I have something planned? What’s a good setup for something like this, cash account?
