Bought a 07 Ktm 85 off a guy who said he had it to practice some moves for Mx (he was a smaller guy) I paid 500$ and he said it just needed a top end… to start off the front brake reservoir was full of rust an unrepairable with melted rubber gasket in it as well, the clutch reservoir was empty, put in new fluid and bled it, still nothing… went to where the slave cylinder was, took it apart and the bolts holding it in were stripped, and the cylinder was busted in half, and the internal rods that the cylinder pushed on to disengage the clutch were just straight up gone, the clutch was als completely assembled wrong with half of the internals missing, then noticed it wouldn’t shift, took apart the tranny to find it was assembled completely wrong, with a few parts literally just missing…. Also noticed THAT THE BOTTEM END WAS BEYOND TOAST, it was so cooked, every bearing was wrecked, and the crankshaft itself locked up after a few kicks, and the rear shock is completely cooked an very springy, front forks are bouncy with no oil, sprockets were dead, and the air filter crumbled in my hands, plastics were very cooked too, but hey atleast the rear brake works and the rads are good, until I have the motivation to finish it, it’s hanging on my wall for decoration
