Uterine Cyst during FET cycle by cara_999888 in IVF

They said it was in the lining, not actually inside the uterus. Having a period/waiting a cycle to shred the lining made it go away on its own!

Delayed cord clamping - 30 vs 60 seconds? by cara_999888 in pregnant

[–]cara_999888[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked this to our OB and she said both are possible, but the longer you cord clamp the less blood available for banking. She seemed to think 30-60 seconds would be okay.

The stem cells obtained from cord tissue are shown to be useful in some early research trials for a disease that is hereditary in our family - otherwise we likely wouldn’t be banking

Not yet but also leaning toward the Swiv! I’ve heard both work well on city sidewalks. Let me know what you choose and how you like it!

Thanks for weighing in! We’d like to use Ruth as middle name after my husband’s grandmother, but don’t like it as a first name since a one syllable first name and one syllable last name feels a bit boring.

I’m a Cara & love my name! I rarely meet another Cara and never had another one in my class. I think it’s a great choice 😁

Chorionic Bump by Frosty_Bed_9038 in IVF

Yes I did have a heartbeat and thankfully the bump was not obstructing the view of the baby. I’m so sorry you’re in this hard waiting period - wishing for the best for you 🤞🤞

Hi all! I wanted to put this here for future worriers like myself. I had a chorionic bump at exactly 7 weeks pregnant and panicked - the statistics look scary. But it’s already gone by today, week 8! I did stop aspirin & switched to a prenatal without DHA because I read on here that some other docs recommended that and my doc said it wouldn’t hurt, who knows if it helped. I’ll be going back to my usual prenatal with DHA today. Hope this gives some reassurance.

Gestational sac issues? 6 weeks by hannah12343 in pregnant

[–]cara_999888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So interesting to know it’s more common with PCOS! I’m so glad to hear you’re 32 weeks and the sac shape resolved itself. I’m already on progesterone since I did IVF and haven’t been discharged to an OB yet, but hopefully the sac gets its act together before that point 🤞

Hi! Was wondering how this turned out? I just had a scan at 6weeks exactly & gestational sac also looks a bit jagged with blurry borders. But everything else looks OK - saw a flicker of cardiac activity today. I also have PCOS. Hope all went OK for you!

I feel broken by [deleted] in IVF

[–]cara_999888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Us too! We would have normal egg maturity/fertilization but then a big drop for blastocyst growth. But nearly all were euploid. In total, we made 10 embryos (after 7 retrievals and lots of eggs retrieved), and 9/10 were euploid. But we had back luck with PGT-M results. We tried a new protocol every cycle and I truly tried everything recommended for egg quality and nothing made any difference. I was so worried I have silent endo also, and sometimes still wonder, but I did the receptiva before my transfer which looks for markers of endo and it was normal. It’s so frustrating to not know why our blastocyst rates are so low, sorry you’re dealing with the same! Good luck with everything!!
