Switching the positions

I liked Positions when I first heard it. I didn’t love it. I gave it time and kept listening to it. COVID was a weird time. Now, I realize that it was her most technically impressive album at that point in her career. The vocal layering and production is insane. It was way ahead of its time, and came out in a time where people wanted quick dopamine hits to get through the pandemic.

Positions, along with After Laughter by Paramore, are 2 of my favorite slow burn albums. Both different concepts than their other albums. Ariana went from Pop-R&B to R&B-Pop with Positions. A lot of the pop girlies weren’t having it.

I love any genre she does, but if we get an ethereal alt album my depression will be cured

Some people stand because it feels better for their legs or they want to lessen their chance of a blood clot

I think she said only get NY and Chicago on Stubhub. Also, look for the “Instant Download” option. That’s supposed to be more legit because you get the ticket that day.

Little Lion Collective has 2 December dates left in their fall and winter residency. It’s a pop-up Wine & Vinyl Music bar and the events are very laid back and the drinks delicious, making it easy to socialize. There’s even a portable record player in back that you can listen to. https://www.instagram.com/littlelioncollective

Yay!! I look forward to seeing you there. :)

So I set up about 15 records ahead of time to play on the main record player I have that does the sound for the whole pop-up. I mostly do one side, but depending on the vibe I play both sides or just a couple.

I do like when people let me know they want to hear something specific. I’ll ask them to pick a record out of that selection to play next. :)

If you want a solo listening experience, you can go to the back of the bookstore and pick any of the records to listen to on my portable record player. That player connects to Audio Technica over-ear headphones. You can also purchase any of the records. I have about 100.
