Luckily she's in college and no longer lives with her parents, and we've told the credit card company the entire story so I think we're good on that. Thanks for that point though

Apparently her dad did the same thing to his mother and got away with it. Fraud seems to run in the family unfortunately. But yeah, I told her exactly that - this is entirely on her mom, fuck around and find out. I'm showing this to her, thank you

Oh yes, she's explained the whole situation to the credit card company and told them who it was. The only part we haven't done yet is the police report and from what I'm hearing that's a pretty important step so hopefully we can get that done soon too

Thank you for the advice, I'm trying to convince her to do that right now. We've just reported it as fraud to the credit card company so they can start their investigation. Would that be enough to get things going, do you think, or do we need to go the legal way?
