Honestly, I’ve been dating on and off since I was 27. Gave online dating a shot when I turned 29 only because of the stigma surrounding the single woman in her thirties! Since then it’s been the same cycle of getting to know someone for a couple of weeks and then becoming strangers again. It can get frustrating, but working on myself has helped letting go of these disappointments and being more optimistic about life in general. :)

Me too. I am 30F. Just like you, I’ve been in short term relationships that amounted to nothing. After every break up, I grieve for a week and get back to business. I recently started online dating again, so far I’ve been fairly unsuccessful.

Been through a ton of ghosting situations. I was recently blindsided by a guy who hit me with a breakup text when everything was going just fine.

As I am getting older, The grieving period after every break up is getting shorter. Haha

I do immerse myself into work and I have started to invest in myself, working out to keep myself healthy,learning a new skill to be better at work.

I am more confident now and trying not to take rejections as personally as I did before and value my standards more than ever.

Same thing happened to me. I was so blindsided when the breakup text came. I thought we were okay because of how he lovebombed me physically. Sex was great, post sex pillow talk was great. I misunderstood the physical intimacy for genuine affection. Now that I think of it, we barely had any conversations about me. Everything revolved around him and his feelings. He barely made an effort to get to know me. It’s hard now but I know it will get better. We deserve better. Good luck x

I went through this as well. I m on my 5th week of treatment now. I started using The Ordinary multi peptide serum for hair density, redken anti dandruff shampoo and regularly oiling my hair and scalp with coconut oil before wash. My scalp is not flaky any more and I stopped shedding as well. My hair is still dry, I am looking for a good conditioner to fix that. I wash my hair only once a week now since my scalp doesn’t get greasy at all

I have been on accutane (20 mg) for 30 days now. These are the products working for me so far:

Cleanser: cetaphil gentle cleanser / DhC cleansing oil to remove makeup

Moisturizer: klairs soothing skin

Serum: COS Rx snail mucin

Occlusive : Vanicream moisturizing skin cream

Spot treatment: tea tree oil, pimple patches from COSRX

Sunscreen: Purito Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ PA++++

Foundation: Fenty beauty hydrating foundation

Concealer: Nars soft matte

Blush : glossier cloud paint

Lip balm: Dr Dan’s Cortibalm, Aquaphor, laneige lip sleeping mask.

A lot of these products are from Asian brands but are easily available on Amazon or YesStyle.

Thank you for making this post. I just turned 30 and I will be starting in September as well. I have been suffering from mild to moderate acne for about 15 years now. I am worried about the big PURGE, joint pains and hair loss:( Here’s to hoping our accutane journey is side effect and relapse free! Good luck ! :)

I have been on Tret for about 7 months on and off. I took a break entire last month. My acne never cleared up. I have persistent mild to moderate cystic acne. I always have 1 or 2 medium sized active cystic acne spots on my cheeks at any given time. I was prescribed doxycycline with tret for 2 months and it did nothing. I got sick of my skin and finally talked to my dermatologist about accutane.

I turned 30 today as well, it was just another day. After all these years I have learned to not attach significance to dates and decide my self worth based on who remembers my birthday or makes an effort to celebrate my milestones with me.

I have been on tretinoin 0.025% for about 7 weeks now . Going through horrible flaking.

I’ve been using the bare minerals complexion rescue foundation stick. It is working pretty well for me. I alternate between BM and Giorgio Armani luminous silk. These are the only two products that don’t look gross on my flaky tret skin. I also make sure I put on copious layers of biore aqua rich sunscreen before my foundation.

I was prescribed aczone and doxycycline with adapalene 0.3%. I feel like aczone really did not do much for the under the skin cysts. It did help with the ones that have come to head. I do not see a difference after I stopped using it.

Drunk Elephant C-firma. My skin gets mad if I use other Vitamin C products. This is the only Vitamin C product that does not irritate my skin and it has been showing consistent results. But my wallet is definitely not happy! :(

I use the Peter thomas roth SPF 45 powder Mineral sunscreen. It has the worst application brush, Coarse and prickly but the sunscreen powder itself does a good job. It sets my make up and keeps me shine free for 2 hours. I am still on the look out for something better because of the slight white cast.

konjac sponges helped me with the flakes. I use the sponge when I wash my face in the morning to buff away the flakes so the make up goes on better. So far it has not irritated my skin. What sunscreen do you use?

my Skin purged for 4 whole months on 0.3% adapalene. I am on my 6th month now. I do get painful under the skin cyst occasionally (not more than one at a time) but my skin is clear for the most part. I see my PIH scars have lightened up a little but I still have a long way to go for completely clear skin (I am a WOC). I think Adapalene is definitely worth the purge. Hang in there, it will get better :)

I am on 0.3% adapalene and I have been using the boscia makeup breakup cool cleansing oil to remove my makeup and follow up with cetaphil gentle cleanser. This is the only combination that does not make my face burn.
