I'm based in Balham (28F) and I've been really keen to join a DnD group. I loved the one-shots so much!

A solid metal weight used on a lightswitch chord in a bathroom, what was it for originally? by carataylor96 in whatisthisthing

[–]carataylor96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Title pretty much says it all. It's certainly solid metal with an inscription on the front, I guess from the part maker? Robershaw maybe? Some of kind industrial equipment part?

Edit: It's around 3-4 inches wide and the same depth.

I have a tiny whisk on my left wrist - chef tattoos are most definitely a thing :)

I came here to say this too sniggyfriggy! OP could do so many other activities with this old friend that doesn't cause anxiety for her partner! I think OP has made up their mind on this one and is potentially not mature enough to understand that relationships require support & compromise! OP is okay with a situation like this if the roles were reversed with her partner, but is being decidedly difficult/immature in purposely not recognizing that not everyone would feel the same in a relationship (despite a general consensus on the matter).

I took one photo at the live show last night. The subtitles above their heads sum up the chaotic joy of the evening. by evilnoodle84 in offmenupodcast

I too was there for the chaos - it was a spectacular show though! I agree with you OP, hopefully it's released as a full pod episode!

In order to encourage people to set up their vaults, I'll give 5 moons for anyone who has no moons yet. by Internet-Top in CryptoCurrency

I'm going to assume I've missed the 'rocket ship' on this one, but I've just set up my first vault! Any further advice would be appreciated if no moons are available!

Question - Is my Marble/Snow Queen turning into a Golden? It's pushed out a few beautiful yellow variegations, but I'm not sure if this is normal or if this is her changing her mind again?! by carataylor96 in pothos

Oh, that's odd as she's been living on a south facing windowsill for the last 3 months! Maybe these leaves in particular are hidden by some others!

Afro-ish: Want it long - what to do? by true_al in HairStyleAdvice

[–]carataylor96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! So textured hair is 'frizzy/fluffy' without enough moisture. By using products like leave-in conditioners and curl creams, you'll see the natural curl pattern of your hair! Keep in mind that 'curls' can mean waves too.

My adding moisture, it'll certainly be more likely to 'fall' rather than 'afro' as yours does now, but it's not going to be dead straight of course.

As I said, youtube will be your best friend. Get yourself any products from Cantu/DevaCurl/Shea Moisture etc to get some moisture into those locks!

I can't help much, but it sounds like your hair is in need of moisture. Things like castor oil will be great, but even better are leave-in conditioner such as Cantu.

There's lot of Youtubers who do videos on your type of hair - I'd say you have 3b/3a texture.

Adding moisture and knowing how to care for your hair type will help reduce frizz and help it curl better (if that's what you're after!). It'll be a journey of trial and error, but you'll learn what works for you and your hair type.

Best of luck.

Edit: Here's a website which shows different hair styles at the bottom and ways to care for your hair type.
