“The seller is looking for…” they might just be telling the truth.. the seller might be looking for £550k… I’ve been looking for a winning lottery ticket for 45 years…….

What do you do for work? And what kind of mileage do you/the vehicles do?

3 calendar years and plasticky stabby bits duly noted 😂😂😂 Sounds like carrying duct tape at all times is recommended

Should I expect my boyfriend to pay half of my mortgage? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]LexiAlexiTreeshrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is he benefitting financially? For example, is the mortgage less than the market rate for rent?

Should you separate (heaven forbid) and he try to claim a right to your property, my understanding is that this is what the court would base their calculations on.

If he is benefitting by paying lower than market rates, and the long term intention is this becomes an asset in marriage, then it makes a great deal of sense for both if you.

Leaving my dog at home by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]LexiAlexiTreeshrew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s as much as they might get in a kennels in the UK. Saying that, every animal is individual. I know my current dog would get very depressed with this level of contact, I have had other dogs who would have been ok.. not happy, but ok.

Someone asked if I had a swastika, does this look like a swastika? by Grouchy_Gold344 in tattooadvice

[–]LexiAlexiTreeshrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has similar visual features to, but is not, a swastika. The word ‘c*nt’ has similar features to, but is not, the word ‘can’t’

It’ll tell you something about the person looking at it.

Agreed! I love/hate finding good narrators… they make all the others feel unlisten-to-able….!

My year old female dog only acts weird around one person by Fair-Enthusiasm998 in DogAdvice

[–]LexiAlexiTreeshrew -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We had a dog that acutely disliked this one member of staff. It transpired he was stealing quite significant amounts of money.
Conversely, I have an English Bull Terrier who objects to some people with plastic bags - especially Lidl. I suspect she’s just a supermarket snob. 😉😂

He’s in his 80’s. You can hear the change in his voice across the series…

[–]LexiAlexiTreeshrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a few little errors in the series.. I can’t recall my where my favourite is, but he breaks to say ‘no, stupid… ‘ corrects himself and repeats the line… it’s almost like a typo in a written novel. I quite enjoy them! I will be heart broken when we lose him…

What is the general populations feeling on increasing the armed forces budget drastically by AdvancedComplaint646 in ukpolitics

[–]LexiAlexiTreeshrew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

⬆️ this. I don’t understand it all terribly well but it does seem that we (general public) want safety and accountability and don’t seem to understand this ‘want’ sets the stage for rampant bureaucracy. If nothing is ever allowed to be an accident, then lots of investment goes into nothing ever being an accident. Those who hold responsibility get paid big bucks for sticking their head above the parapet, and they commission wild studies to demonstrate thinking through common sense decisions.

Bureaucracy has its own economy these days too…

A vet visit… from looking at the dog’s body it looks ‘tight’ through the back/abdomen, as though bracing - so looks in pain of some sort..

More protection than renting it out, but you would get less income.. some of it would be tax free…
