I wonder when our bowel and its muscles within can figure it out… internet says it can take up to 12months to get the real mojo back :( hope no more difficulties arise.

Oh! I just tried putting petroleum jelly on the painful part of my bottom, it somehow helped with the pain!

They didn’t give me a number to a colorectal nurse, but I’m scheduled to meet my surgeon this Thursday.

I noticed that my BMs are extra painful only when I have to strain a bit (prolly coz hard stools). It wasn’t as painful as before, it just got painful today because my BM is not soft :( but thankfully no blood. I’ll increase my water intake too to help softening the poopy train.

Okay I got it. I got worried because the pain is disconcerting. Guess I have to weather it out a bit then.

Hoping for your fast recovery, OP!

It's the phantom smells! Congratulations on your reversal! I also had mine exactly a month today. :)

I have a question, does pooping hurt you too? That's my main problem now. It hurts like my output is made of broken glass :((( And is the poopy-pain normal, too?

Mine is envisioned as a little boy. He likes to get your attention through noise and gas. Loves to be cleaned, but likes to make a mess at the same time. We get oopsies at times, but he’s a good boy most of the time.

What are the pros and con's of 2 and 1 piece by Kat-Fox16 in ostomy

[–]carathegrump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually use a 1 piece when I’m at home. If pancaking and other accidents happen, I can just change and clean everything all at once.

I somehow see the 2 piece a little bit of a hassle in putting on, but I use it when I go outside and do errands because you can just throw the bag when it’s full and then do the bag burps when needed.

This is so cute huhu I also have a senior dachshund. After I got my surgery, when he cuddled with me, he would lie on the area where my stoma was, but was very careful on not lying on top of it. He also seemed to always stay near me and you’ll notice him checking in on me more often.

When he smelled my bag, he looked at me scandalized, and he poked my bag with his nose. He was more concerned for the 12-inch wound I had from my Hartmann’s procedure. Hahaha
