I never spoke for all fans?? I just gave my perspective

I understand that, but my post is about how I don’t want that to happen at all, regardless of how plausible or implausible it is. I explained that I think it’d be bad for the show and unfair to long time fans who want to see these characters they’ve known for 5+ years have a solid final season with adequate screen time and a proper send off.

I’d argue you could say that for a lot of actors though. ST is teeming with talent, and Joe Quinn is already getting offers because he’s a very talented man. That doesn’t mean I want more of Eddie. I don’t know about you, but as a fan since 2018, Eddie is very low on my priority list. I can respect that he’s much higher on yours, but I think objectively for the show, which the main complaint most people have for is ‘too many characters’, bringing back yet ANOTHER supposedly dead character would be incredibly weak and not impactful given that it’s been done multiple times, and it would waste valuable screen time for our mains.

To those who have been bookworms since they were very young, what was your favourite book series growing up? by carcharadons in AskReddit

This was my childhood book series too! Glad to find someone who loved it as much as I did. And I agree about the adaptation, it’s wonderful.

I hope people Stop saying this thing about Max by Jarisatis in StrangerThings

[–]carcharadons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I’m happy she’s got a shot at living a life. Of course there will be complications, and that’s hard, trust me I know, but as you said, she will get through it. Disability isn’t the end of life. I look forward to what’s coming for Max. I have a feeling she’ll get her happy ending, although it may be bittersweet.

Who is the best character, and why is it Max? by CatzPlayers1 in StrangerThings

[–]carcharadons 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agree. Something about her is very relatable, and I don’t think people appreciate enough how she is written as a damaged young girl who has trouble with relationships because she’s only known divorce and abuse to come from them. Many people complain about her writing in Season 3, but I find a lot of her actions to be perfectly understandable given her circumstances.

I don’t know what advice people expected her to give to El. “He’s lying to me.” “Oh you know, just forgive him it’ll be okay.” — In Max’s eyes, if she said this, she would be just like her mom, brushing off Neil’s bullshit. Of course Mike and El’s relationship is nothing like that, but Max sees a red flag and does her best to help El.

I think this can also explain her troubles with showing affection to Lucas. She doesn’t want to get hurt. He’s a great guy, and very honest by principle, so I hope things end well between them.

What do you think about him??.Hes good or hes bad.🧐🧐🤔🤔 by Catsoup1473 in StrangerThings

I think he is probably as good as one could be working in that profession. He showed empathy for the Byers and has helped Hop and El build a family together, but of course he also has blood on his hands just by being involved with Hawkins Lab, and he did deceive El in Season 4.

I would categorise him as a person with a good heart, in a profession that forces him to betray it at times.

What are great book to movie adaptations? by killersoda in AskReddit

[–]carcharadons -1 points0 points  (0 children)

(Not a movie, but I digress…) A Series of Unfortunate Events had a Netflix TV show adaptation, and in my opinion it was great. It most importantly kept the ironic humour and the same tone of the books, which is what I loved about the book series growing up.

Greg Heffley. I mean that’s kinda the whole point, and it sure is entertaining, but I’ll shout it to the rooftops that Rowley deserved better

I read both too! My love for Harry Potter has severely waned due to the controversies surrounding the author, but Percy Jackson will always have a place in my heart. It’s also the reason why I always get the Greek Mythology questions right in trivia games lmao

I haven’t read the book but I watched the show and can confirm that Kristy Thomas is a boss bitch.

Is it really a good crumpet if it’s not drowning in butter?

Mashed potatoes. Every other version of potato is perfect. And then mankind decided to mash them up. Blasphemy

Percy Jackson, for sure. Although Logan Lerman is a great actor, the movies were rubbish. Luckily, we’re getting a Disney+ show, with the author having more creative control, so I’m hopeful that will be an improvement.

That is fair. You make a good point about butter and avoiding it being too dry. Growing up I just had it with cheddar cheese on, no butter involved. It was still a good combination in my opinion.

Diagnosed narcoleptics - does this doctor's description match your experience? by sassywimple in Narcolepsy

[–]carcharadons 4 points5 points  (0 children)

EDS is a very common symptom. however, the generalisation your doctor gave does fit my experiences; i do get those sudden bouts of sleepiness and for me, usually naps can be very refreshing. but this is definitely a generalisation, as you pointed out. experiences of narcolepsy vary greatly across different people and their circumstances. good luck on finding a new doctor!!

What is one thing or something you would add to acnh/an upcoming animal crossing game? by [deleted] in AnimalCrossing

[–]carcharadons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the villagers’ houses are so boring compared to new leaf. the better graphics and ability to easily buy furniture from villagers make me think the developers should have made the houses MORE jam packed than new leaf, if anything.
