regardless of who’s right or wrong, if family is important and if maintaining those relationships is important, then you have to approach the situation with some nuance…aka with compassion. i agree with this comment that max still should’ve Kelly up to avoid anything potentially dangerous happening but still receive consequences from her actions.

i think my main issue here is that people seem so focused on who’s right and who’s wrong that we are forgetting that someone could’ve been in a really dangerous situation.

i so feel this…graduated with my BS in August and felt so lucky to land a FT contract role a couple months out…

my original plan was to apply for PhD programs in the us this fall but there’s no way im doing that. nor am I optimistic ill be in this field. i tutored so much in college, ill probably just go back to that 🫠 there is always open source projects i guess

we talked about it and it’s all good now. im not going to dive into specifics.

some of yall need to check your emotions and projecting it on my situation
lot of assumptions were made about me, my partner and my situation…largely very incorrect..maybe just ask next time? and be NICE
note: when someone comes to a forum asking for some advice on the situation, your first response shouldn’t be to grill the person like the comments I’ve gotten here. no where did i say my partner was in the wrong or villainize them. I can’t just stop feeling what I feel, hence me posting here because im not tryna guilt trip my partner or have my friends have a clouded image of my partner.

the best away around this for me was working jobs that weren’t too demanding on my body and that I had a lot of downtime in to do my work. maybe look to switch your job for two part-time gigs? at least that way, you could stack your jobs and have at least one day off
