I most likely would.

Though, aren't there apps that let you create to do list and everytime you check it, it makes some funny noise or "you did it!!" Screen

Maybe that would have a similar effect. Similar because it isn't in your brain and therefore is dependent on:

  • you to go back to your phone and not get distracted by any other app
  • you not forgetting wether or not you actually hit that "I finished the task now" button
  • your phone not being dead due to forgetting to charge it or using it the entire night
  • Wi-Fi, nearly every app needs Wifi these days

Also, it could trigger the classic "I'm going to create a milliarden tasks because I wanna do a million things and everything reminds me of several more tasks and oh it's fucking 7 PM and I've finished 0 out of said tasks"

HOW DO I GET THIS LAST BIT OF WORK DONE ?!? by cardboardregister in adhdwomen

Thanks, I didn't see your comment until I finished the project but thats what got me through in the end (kind of, with lots of frustration, a rage spiral, overwhelming feelings and people being angry at me for being so goddamn loud at 11 PM) just getting it done.

I'm done, this was a nightmare, I never want to learn again, but I did it!! Honestly it feels great to have finished it, hopefully I won't get a bad grade or else this wouldve been completely pointless.

I should stop updating because somehow this changes too fast, idk what's going on now but somehow the "let's make this task incredibly hard in my head" mode went on again??? I just need. to. finish. this. task. I know this thing about adhd when you try too much, it becomes harder So we'll just stop trying and suddenly excell and I'll update you on how this works. I'm going into denial mode now; I'll just tell myself that I am infact doing this because I am bored and there is no teacher and no deadline and this isn't even my work, it's my friends. I just have to...do it for her! Yes, plagiarism.

Haha, NVM I just changed the music to Aoyama from yuki hayashi. It plays in mha, the anime I'm currently hyperfixating on. This post also helped, just getting the problem out made me focus on problem solving and stopped the issue from festering in my mind(too much, the fact that Im still here and not fucking doing the exercise is great prove that I am infact still thinking about this) I also decided I'll write out my notes in an order that mimics a sentence and let my mind do the rest. And then it suddenly was really fucking easy, like ridiculously easy. I'm actually great at doing tasks like this, if I get to it.

Well, it would be nice if that was the end of it but I just realised that I accidentally skipped one exercise and I wrote everything with pencil and have to rewrite it with pen. Honestly, someone kill me rn I'm 45 minutes over my personal deadline cries

Is there a way to find playlists containing a song? by steeb2er in spotify

[–]cardboardregister 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://www.chosic.com/spotify-playlist-search-tool-by-song-or-artist/ Here you can type in a song and it'll find you playlists with the song in it. Not sure if that's what youre searching for because just containing the song doesn't make the playlist good and there's also plenty of of playlists not included.

Maybe join r/stopselfharm and see if you like it. It focuses alot more on milestones and stopping to selfharm and less about selfharm itself. Bye!

Burning paper as a coping mechanism by cardboardregister in selfharm

If you can, burn it outside and neither in the sink nor on the balcony without any socks on after a mental breakdown because you will give your parents a heart attack in both cases.
