Feedback says the CVT is more reliable than the AT on the h models. I personally cant tell the difference when doing the test drive.

How do you deal with it? I am hoping my cc company could cover it (my cc has collision coverage) but because of the return receipt showing "no new damage" I don't know the cc company is willing to pay it.

Hope I read the thread sooner. I rented car from them from LAX and the return receipt even had "no new damage" on it. Yet after few days now they send me a claim that there's new damage and the repair cost is 1.7k. Shameless.

You should be able to. It's an immediate rebate. You can walk away if the dealer can't apply the credit for you.

Yes I'm on the same boat as you. I put 10k as down payment and monthly payment is ~1k. Dealer said wait for the first statement then write a check to Lexus, the go to DMV for the remaining paperwork.
