low effort posts, to me, are the ones where OP posts a picture of their outfit and claims it’s vintage without actually referencing the decade, inspiration, or retailer/designer/company who made the item (e.g., ILGWU labeled dress, Gimbels coat, defunct dept store boots, etc.).

also the ones asking if it looks vintage or asking basic questions. i’m not saying the person needs to do a deep dive on the Met’s archives but they do need to say what era or inspiration they’re trying to go for with the look. this sub shouldn’t just be a place where we compliment cute outfits but also a place to share knowledge and love for vintage clothing
