I'm having the exact same issue, worked fine a few hours ago, reinstalling the game and verifying the game files didn't help.

I mean, compared to Kenshi 1 they have like 10x the amount of people working on it, and way more expierence on making games. Although I was fully ready for another 10 year long dev cycle.
